All Bolly kids have that same entitled attitude in India, bahar jaake puri family ki hawa tight ho jaati hai, khud ke self respect pe ek bachi maar ke gayi but they don't care 🤣

Jane Li looks just like another entitled brat, you can see it on her face. 😆

I think she studies at Harvard and hence doesn't maybe wanna act at all?

She probably has other ambitions unlike Indian star kids.😆

Watched it. Didn't seem cringe to me coz I watched the Hindi dubbed version and the dubbing was done by ace dubbing artists.

Things I learnt.

- They get investors for their business ventures even before opening their first shop. Because they are so and so's wives/friends.

- Kjo might have recovered the whole budget from Qatar tourism, Qatar Airways, the hotel in Qatar, the shopping mall, and some Bandra/Juhu restaurant/bar/salons.

- Our guess about Kjo having fomo and calling a group of people for meeting after that group had an eventful day/week was right. Maheep said Kjo wants to meet them coz she's just returned from Le Bal.

- Bhavna is the classy one, and being prim and proper, Neelam can relate to her. Neelam had the proud eyes when Bhavna ended Bhavna and Seema's fight maturely.

- I knew Seema would have a fight with Bhavna when Neelam picked Bhavna over Seema at that restaurant when Kjo asked her.

- Seema was not exaggerating when she said she was a fangirl of Neelam and she even went to meet Neelam on the set. Coz her attitude toward Neelam is what we see here fangirls talking about their fav star's feelings: What the fave might do in a situation... okay example deti hoon... Zara the Ranveer-DP fan... the way she talks as if she stays in her fave's head.

- Seema has this fangirl cum stalker type thing. She fangirled over the Kardashians, she fangirled over some other female celeb I forgot who. She had three women crushes... and her attitude toward Neelam in first few episodes made me wonder whether she's bi/lesbian.

- When Ekta offered Neelam a show about two married women discovering they love each other, Neelam looked upset. Dunno why.

Baaki ke yaad kar ke bolungi.

Oh I didn't dislike Maheep... she seemed a good person to people of her circle/family. Dunno whether she got that from Sanjay or they are both like that.

Edit:

- Sanjay has more plastic on his face than Maheep.

- Among the kids, the Khan kids are the worst. Seema's son was copying Salman with his ugly face and Malaika's son was copying Ranbir, not just looks they were copying mannerism also.

- That was definitely not Neelam's first time at the filler wali's place.

- Neelam used to be very close to Kjo and Ekta for a long time. But when they became big they dropped her like hot potato... and when Kjo was saying he used to share everything with her and all... Neelam tried hard to choke back tears but failed. Neelam had grown an inferiority complex from that it seems.

- Neelam's daughter is so smart and sensible. She's adopted, right?

She should've known what exactly to say when there is a camera crew around her. I had heard that she is studying somewhere, idk where.

And it doesn't have to be acting, she should get in in some other sector of entertainment coz she wants to. Coz if she wanted nothing to do with glamour she wouldn't be at the ball or attend red carpets with her father.

If she doesn't have acting ambitions she could've said clearly that "i am not interested in becoming an actor, maybe something else" to be polite. That "maybe not" was straight up bezatti.

I have seen a couple of star kids, mainly frm music. I've even seen them being questioned that "oh you're gonna follow ur father/mother's footsteps i can see you wil go a long way", so they very clearly state they are flattered but aren't interested in the field or that after they are done studying they'll think abt it. These star kids study too soo...😆

Jet Li's daughter was exactly like the spoiled Indian nepo kids people pretend to hate.

She is a nobody to the point that I don't even know her name. But she had such a superiority complex to openly put down someone who was just making a silly joke.

Sanjay was just rambling like a parent does about how they can maybe work together one day. Even superstars don't behave like that girl did. People are usually polite and say something flattering or smile and move along.

So i saw the show in the Netflix free streaming event and get the following:

Neelam was the most genuine to me, her accent and mannerisms were pretty much the same as they were when I first saw her film. She seems to have a sorted life, is already rich so money doesn't seem to bother her and her family is goals. Her daughter was more mature than most star kids.

Seema was also pretty good. I got the feeling that she got married very young coz she was in love and it was a whirlwind romance...which finally developed too many cracks. I feel she never really grew up, coz she seems to have the innocence of a teenager at some points. Her feelings for her children seemed very genuine too.

Bhavna was very fake diplomatic imo. Personally I do not like having friends who are like that...I either expect them to be loyal to me or remain an acquaintance. One thing very surprising was her mannerisms...Ananya gets it from there. Even her voice sounded like a mature version of Ananya's. So personally not a huge fan of her.

Maheep was very on the face and had foot in the mouth syndrome. Like when she spoke about how the kids are earning at an age when others are still dependent on parents...as if she was justifying it was fine to not have a degree and get in the industry only coz you have contacts. But I also got the feeling that she knows what people think of her husband and that's why she hides her emotions behind all that sarcasm and wackiness.

Other than that there were few places that seemed too scripted. Like them going on and on about Neelam's comeback or about Seema's brand growth. It was as if KJo was promoting their work, trying to get them clientele or to see the response if Neelam wanted to do a comeback. The scriptwriters should've dialled it down a little. And yes, Neelam was a huge deal in the 80s. But she wasn't super ambitious since she was enjoying what she did, she wasn't after becoming a huge star or something. Thats why she switched to jewellery designing at the correct time. And personally, I would love to see her on screen again, she was always a delight.

There were some places where I really LOLed. Like when they went out shopping, I wanted to see some shopping bags in their hands. Looked like they only went to shoot and didn't buy anything, only showing that they have lots of money 😆

The husbands were the best part imo. Sanjay Kapoor calling Paris Lokhandwala 🤣 Chunky calling himself Tony Stark 🤣 Samir Soni with the hunterwali script 🤣 Its the men who need a season much more 🤣

Arjun's cameo was actually the best. He was really spilling facts. They do have it easy and need to prove themselves or walk away.

I kinda feel that all them star kids should really explore their options, think about studying further etc then think about entering the industry. Its like they are living in a bubble and I can't imagine what it would be like when it bursts. They don't know what the real world is like and are living off their privilege. There is no growth for them at all.

Only good episode is the last one- at Gauri's party- for obvious reasons- SRK stealing the show as per usual with that high star wattage and charm.

The only real people were Sanjay, Chunky, Srk of course and Arjun.

Rest was- I dont want to be unnecessarily mean- so I ll save it.

Agree with this 100%

I know this sort of people, they want to butter all sides of bread and Sab say theek rakho takay waqt pay kaam a Sakain. Overly diplomatic...

There is a saying about these sort of people:

Jo sabka dost hota hai woh kisi ka bhi dost nahin hota

@bold: Bilkul. 10000% agree with you.

They are actually the kind of people who make u feel good but might end up backstabbing you.

So if Seema was saying the truth and it wasn't scripted then I do side with her. Loyalty is very important for me in friendship and I understand why Seema felt territorial. If any of my oldest friends were to chose someone else than me I'd kick them out of my life without blinking.
