Pinga or Dola re Dola? - Page 2

Dola re has reached cult status. Of course Madhuri and Aishwarya are trained dancers and did justice to SLB's vision. Also the music by Ismail Darbar was superb(better than SLB's) and the choreography tested the skill of the actors all the way up to the end. It was a privilege to see Madhuri and Aish match steps. He made a mistake trying to re-create a classic with Pinga and that too with two actors with little training in classical dance.

Also dola re is a much catchier tune

No comparison.

Pinga was watchable only because of PC. Deepika fell short in every aspect in the song.

Both songs are based on imaginary situations. Dola Re never happened in real Devdas book. Kashi Bai was way older than Mastani and had arthirtis. There are historical records on her illnesses. She could never dance. Bajirao never allowed Mastani to dance publically as Peshawas wives had to follow strict decorum of court and Maratha brahmin tradition.
