I think it is more to do with the lazy writing of the show.

They clearly want to create a conflict among family members regarding Vanraj leaving the house but Pakhi or any other character is not having a good rationale to support V.

Any child will obviously support their mother after what they witnessed at the resort.

But the writers are showcasing unrealistic behaviour of the characters just to forward the story.
