Being officially a hardcore fan of Rahul Sudhir i have never thought i will write this for Helly Shah and Riddhima Rai Singhania.
Ppl have been complaining that Riddhima is not strong. They even compared her with Maya,Tara and Kaynat. I beg to differ They were not strong but they were the weakest for me.
My definition for Strong is totally different. I love Jennifer ;Alisha and Helly for their potrayal as actors.Three of them were extremely good.But i find three of them very toxic and psychotic.
If a person cannot shed light and positivity and spread darkness and negativity then i refuse calling them Strong. Three above mentioned characters were initially victim of their illness and horrible childhood,they needed help not praising.Killing ppl remosrelessly and trying to hurt others for own wish and will does not make u a strong girl it makes u frenzy and mentally ill which three of them were,and fated to b die. (Except Taara).
I feel bad for them.but as actors Helly,Zenny and Alu gave complete justice to their character.
To me, Anika,Sesha, Ishita,Madhubala and finally Nandini Moorthy were the strongest fictional female lead who tolerated severe mental distort from their lovers and husband and stood strong.They bring out their lovers from the severe toxicity.
Helly shah is an wonderful actress and known for strong roles.As Swra and Saltanat she was potrayed strong but in Ishq mein Marjawan she is structured to b strong but she does not potray it explicitly.
She is growing and her arc is undulating and realistic
1.She married Vansh to help Kabir.Ppl will call her fool.I would have slapped my bf if he had demanded such thing. Riddhima stepped into an unknown world with no support.(Kabir was enjoying her dismay)
2.She slapped Aryan in front of Vansh and stand for herself.She even did it after marriage and never scared of Vansh about it.
3.She questioned and show Vansh that she will never bow down against his intimidation.
4.She took a bullet for a man she had not loved that time.
5.She objected killing Vansh as she believed that if he is a criminal he should b behind the bars.Despite being a spy she was Moral and never harmed Vansh.
6.Many of the fans complained that she never stand against Ishani and Anupriya. She tried to tell Vansh that his family wants to hurt her but Did he trust her? She never could prove it as graver issues preoccupied her. She was flawed but not weak.Vansh though was always there to protect her. He is flawed in a sense as family is his weakness. Vansh here we know is a flawed character too.
7.She put up a fight with Kabir twice and almost banged him.(Fire and Hideout )
She did only two mistakes which were magnum.She bring out Ragini and handed her over to Kabir and She trusted Kabir. And for the latter part This what Kabir was supposed to do.Manipulating her.
Trust issues have always played a role in the Couples life. But here we know Kabir, Anu,Ishani are at faults to commit crimes.
8.She cleaned her husband 's name from all the false charge by a shrewd man like Kabir, she had just lost her husband then and was under Kabir 's manipulation again.
She could easily go away after Vansh "s death.But she bring Vihan and sell all her jewelleries. She is doing all this for "His " family. The girl never got love from them. But Yes!.She was loved and pampered by her husband. She now is doing all bcoz she loves him till today. Riddhima potrays the Soul and Vansh is the Heart of the story. She is strong in her process.She is implicitly strong. Her Graph is quite fluctuating but indeed she is an interesting character.
