Chhalaang - The PROBABLE Theatrical Results

A few days back the probable figures of Laxmii were given if it had a theatrical release and that has many permutations and possibilities with the different circuit business and how it compares with the stars previous film. There was another film Chhalaang which released OTT on Diwali and something came to notice which gives the potential of this film which more or less puts this film into prospective.

Surprisingly the actor of Chhalaang Rajkumar Rao and the director Hansal Mehta have had four collaborations before and all four films were total disasters. Not just total disasters but complete washouts as practically nobody came to see them. Only in the Hindi film industry an actor and director combo can get a fifth film even after four horribly bad films. All the exhibitors and public can hope is that there is not a sixth film. Below are the NETT figures of the films from the Rajkumar Rao and Hansal Mehta combo and you dont need to be Einstein to figure out where Chhalaang stands. You can also give the 25-30% boost for Diwali but you will still end up with a disaster number

Aligarh (2016) - 2,70,25,000

Omerta (2018) - 3,26,25,000

Chhalaang (2020) - ??????

Among many things, BOI does not like films that don't make money. Hence any film that doesn't make money is a horribly bad film. 😆

Maybe, but Chhalaang is commercial compared to previous movies of this actor-director duo. So might have done decent business.
