1. Sai does not know the backstory of VirKhi properly enough to see how 2-din ka pyaar aur fir bekaar it is.

2. She isn't interested in the details right now. She is comforted to know that this relationship does not have any other ending and she can focus on becoming a doctor.

3. Virat-Paakhi's reactions when in front of each other must have confused our dear girl. She wants to stay away from their drama for now.

Okay, this makes sense. So you're saying that Sai has clung on to Virat and Pakhi's story FOR Sai, herself? Sort of a reassurance that there's nothing more to this marriage so that she can leave ASAP without getting caught up in all the feelings and expectations?

As a newbie I get only 11 posts in a day, I learnt yesterday, so have to ration replies now 😅

Loved the post and the perspective of Sai wanting to keep reminding Virat about his vaada -- very nicely put. I think it stems from her insecurity due to the Jagtap incidents. Although she knows that Virat is her saviour and protector, the sudden and new relationship between them is also a bit unnerving. I mean, ultimately he IS her husband and she is all of 18. It is natural that she has some apprehensions. Although he has repeatedly told her that they won't have a conjugal relationship, the WHAT IF factor is very big.

I am sure once Sai realises the burden that the illogical vaada is becoming for Virat and also is assured that he really means to maintain a distance, she will automatically start trying to make some sense come in. Hopefully...

He is already supern impressed by her being a topper a fighter So it's very easy for Virat to fall.for Sai.

Why does he keep on repeating mujhse koi ummeed mat rakhna when she said I have none and will not in the future Does he think one fine day her answer will.change

I don't think that is the reason at all . In fact , Sai actually always had a lot of problem with Viraat Pakhi relationship and the prioritization of her in his life.

She craves to have that kind of importance in Viraat's life that Pakhi enjoys. She always had. She used to be extra rude with Viraat that he was late in coming to her rescue against Jagtap, because she thinks he prioritized Pakhi over her. She kept taunting him about it because she's mad at their friendship.

She wants to hear just the opposite of what she is telling Viraat. It's very typical of women to do. She's not afraid that Viraat will someday stop her from leaving him. She wants Viraat to stop her. She wants Viraat to deny that Pakhi is important to him and their marriage is an arrangement.

Remember how Pakhi did exactly the same thing ? She reminded Viraat how he's filled Sai's maang and took pheras with her , thus binding them in a relationship which means all along she was hoping Viraat will immediately deny the sanctity of the marriage and reassure her.

Both the women are doing the same thing with the same man , coming from the place of same insecurity.

Sai's always been possessive of Viraat far before marriage. After suicide also she got furious that Viraat will be returning to Pakhi next day which is why she got mad and lashed out " Maat ana hospital. " While becoming hurt when he actually listened and didn't come.

No matter what she says , she wants her husband for herself. She's keying him for an opposite reaction following newton's law. And it seems to be working. 😆

Wow. I wish this is actually the case. True that she has always taunted him about Pakhi. In fact, she did not know who was the girl who Virat had made the vaada to until she saw Pakhi and Virat looking at each other with those teary eyes at her marriage 😜 she immediately made the connection and realised that although Virat always told her that Pakhi was his best friend and his brother's wife and never mentioned that Pakhi was the same girl, Sai knew instinctively. She was hurt and confused and so when the phera happened , her first statement to Virat was, 'jis din main doctor ban gayi, Aapke Saath Mera aakhri din hoga'.

But her reminders to Virat could be a bit of both I think - self defense and also the attraction. I don't think Sai thinks of marriage as a deal that one can walk out of, even if Virat has asked her to leave when she wishes. When the mangalsutra scene happened and the pandit spoke of janam janam Ka Pavitra bandhan, she was watching him with those questions in her eyes. But at the same time, she doesn't consider him her 'husband' yet. She is yet to even come to terms with her father's demise and the sudden change of her identity. The jealously and 'my husband' part will surely come in soon for us 😉

But I wish that she grows a few years older before they actually start their romance 🤣

I am not entirely sure on the attraction bit either. I think the Pakhi taunt was also because Virat's words and actions have confused Sai as much as they confuse us. Everyone around Sai is always singing Virat's praises but ever since he's come to Gadchiroli, from Sai's POV, all he's done is stall her and Aaba going to Nagpur and that's what she desperately wanted. WE know that Virat wasn't directly responsible for Kamal's death but for Sai, she would going back to the whole VRS- revoking saga. Even though he has been her saviour on a bunch of occasions, Sai just doesn't buy it. From her side, he has destroyed her life as much as he has saved it.

I wish Sai's a bit older too before the romance and I also hope we get clarity on Virat's age. I really hope he's 24-25.

Hey I agree with you about this.

But you know what actually happened in the car scene. Virat was looking at Pakhi through the rear mirror and had tears rolling out. Sai has observed it and felt bad. The very next moment the spead breaker came and Virat put his hand to prevent Sai from getting hurt. Pakhi turned back and was watching them. Sai first looked at Virat but she could sense that Pakhi was observing them because she was sitting cross to her. That's why she turned and looked at Pakhi. It was a natural reaction and I think anyone in her place would have done the same. When you think someone is observing you your attention will automatically divert towards them. Virat looked at Pakhi only after Sai turned her head.

Virat is really caring and he also has a very funny side,so it is very easy for sai to fall in love with virat.so yes by remember about virats promise to pakhi she is protecting herself.

And there is a matter of sai's pride too I think.

How does anyone fall in love with someone who is constantly repeating mujse koi ummid mad rekhna

Definitely the pride factor is at play. As much as we all want Virat to fall for Sai first and then suffer because of her indifference, logically it's way easier for Sai to love him. But then she'll go into the whole dimag-dil conflict because she wouldn't want to love somebody who's on a 24x7 Pakhi puran.

Sai is too young, only 18 ,to understand the institution of marriage, plus the situation in which she got married , results in her not putting any significance on the marriage rituals itself.

In fact this is where I find both the women same, none of them caring much for the marriage they find themselves in.

It's not about marriage . It's about Viraat. Like I said, it was there long before their marriage, before there were even any possibility of such a marriage.

What I mean marriage didn't open her up to Viraat because she gives it any importance. She doesn't. Viraat was always important to her irrespective of any tag.

If anything, the marriage , since it has been done to them forcefully and unwillingly , put her off for a bit from Viraat plus she's still wrecked over her father's death and soured over his father's colleagues forcing her into marriage. Or else , she wants all attention, time and care from Viraat for her only. It may not even be love or anything such , she likes to be liked by him . Right now it's as simple as that. 😆

I wish they clarify about the age of both Viraat and Pakhi. That'll give us some perspective. I don't think Viraat could be older than 26-27 since it's her first posting.

In the Bengali version they'd an age gap of 10 years. Which will be decreased here because of the casting and how young Neel looks vs how mature and older Rishi Kaushik looked ( very much handsome both of them though ).

Sai was initially definitely mad at him after her father's death and held her responsible. But she also knows that he's not responsible . The clarification meeting they'd before marriage made it clear that she doesn't think of him as some one responsible for her father's death. They had an almost friendly understanding vibe going on.

It's just she's utterly confused about everything that she can't segregate her thoughts and emotions, process them and reach a clarity. Everything is happening extremely fast. As she said herself, her very identity is being changed , her world turning upside down.

Honestly, the same for Viraat. Within a span of 4 weeks , he lost his love , who got married to his cousin brother , the same one who the went missing, followed by his mentor dying to save him , followed by his marriage to his very young daughter, which is a deal and his family not in the ropes and Pakhi turning up at the exact moment to witness the marriage and Sai dismissing him followed by Pakhi dismissing him , followed by his family exploding on him .

How is he not having a mental breakdown??

Wait let me summarize it for you all😆...All Sai wants to do/is doing is prevent her heart/herself from falling for Virat coz 'Prevention is better than cure'😆...she won't be able to mend or cure her heart once its broken
