Episode 8 (sorry for long post😳)
Mikaal is still curious as to why he saw Amal at his mothers boutique yesterday so he asks his mother who that girl was. She replies it was just someone that came for an interview but disappeared suddenly. He keeps asking about her until his mother gets suspicious wondering why he’s asking so many questions, and then thinks it’s because he doesn’t want to tell her who the girl was that was with him! He tells his mum that was Zubi and he brought her to explain everything.
Amal is getting ready in her bedroom and she thinks to herself that she will go again for the new job. She wonders who the girl was with Mikaal and wonders whether he will deceive her in the same way. She wonders if she will see him again and thinks if she does, she will ask him if their Nikah was as fake as he was.
Anni returns home after the meeting with Mikaal and happily tells her mother that everything is alright now. Shahmeer also says he thinks she should go ahead and marry Mikaal as he wants his sisters happiness. Anni says to her mother that her brother never really wants to do anything for her benefit and thinks there is another reason.
Anni meets up with Zubi and angrily screams at her saying how can you say Mikaal promised to marry you. Zubi calls her a psycho so Annie slaps her and they get into a fight. Zubi threatens Anni that not only will she say it but now will actually go ahead and marry Mikaal just to spite her.
Amal goes again for the interview with Mikaals mother, and after apologising, gets the job with an even better salary then she received before.
Spoilt brat Anni is angry after the fight with Zubi and her mother tells her off because of her immature behaviour and is disappointed in her. She reminds her what people in their society will think if they hear of this. Mikaals mother (Kulsoom) arrives and Anni’s mother isn’t happy to see her. Kulsoom tells everyone that Zubi is lying and that she only said it to get revenge on Anni. She says Zubi will come and tell everyone the truth.
Later on Anni tells her father that Zubi flirts with all the boys snd Shahmeer also agrees and mentions this but the father says he will not give his permission to marry until he feels satisfied.
Amal is thinking back when she saw Mikaal enter into the office without permission and wonders if he knows the Madame informally, but while she’s thinking she hears a noise on the roof and goes up to explore. Suddenly a strange man appears and grabs her from behind and puts his hand over her mouth so she can’t scream. Then quickly he runs away, just in time for Noshaba and her mother to see the man leave. Noshaba points the finger at her stepsister saying she is on the roof with a strange man and when Amal tries to deny it and explain, her stepmother rebukes her and shouts at her, saying she saw the man and how could Amal be so cheap like this. She criticises her for such immoral behaviour. She drags Amal and beats her while Noshaba is smiling and secretly dances with joy.
In the morning the stepmother wakes Amal up and we see her in bed bruised and battered.
Amal goes to her friend who notices all the bruises and says how could your stepmother do such a thing how can she hit and torture you! Amal is broken and weak and sadly says her life is a huge wound which won’t seem to heal, but her friend comforts her and tells her to have faith in God and that it will be okay.
Her friend suggests Amal to stay with her for a few days rather than go back to her abusive stepmother. So she goes to her friends house.
Mikaals mother notices the bags under his eyes and says that he hasn’t slept properly for a few days and wonders what’s wrong. He can’t tell her anything but feels bad in himself. His mother says whatever it is she knows she has brought him up properly and can trust her son never to do anything wrong and never to bring shame upon her. He looks at her with a worried expression.
She reminds him to bring Zubi to her brothers home so that its out in the open that it was just a lie.
Noshaba talks to her boyfriend on the phone and is happy that her evil plan went well. She’s smiling and says her mother is now happy with her and angry at her stepsister. Her boyfriend says the guy that did this for free, now wants to meet Noshaba and suddenly she gets very worried.
Anni talks to Mikaal and says unless Zubi convinces her father he will not let them get married. He hears that her brother Shahmeer is also happy for her to get married to him, Mikaal gets suspicious as he was against it before, and thinks there’s an ulterior motive. Mikaal says he had convinced Zubi to come and talk to the family but when he hears that Anni had got into a fight and slapped Zubi he says she spoiled everything!
He tells her how can she be so stupid and says she will have to apologise to Zubi or else talk to her dad and convince him by herself.
Amal tell her friend she won’t stay with her but will go back home even though its late. She wants to phone home to let them know but finds out that there is no battery.
Stepmother is stressing and worried why Amal hasn’t returned and isn’t answering her phone. She’s worried not because of her but only because they rely on her salary to keep the house running. Eventually Amal turns up at the door and her stepmother is fake caring but at the same time disapproves that she is coming home so late and tells her in a suspicious manner that she hopes she’s not misbehaving. At this, Amal stares at her nasty stepmother in disbelief, and just walks away in silence.
Mikaal and his mother are talking and his mother tells him to try and do everything to protect her reputation and for the sake of his love. When she says this he looks at her confused and asks ‘my love?’ then she looks surprised and says to him don’t you love Anni?
At this he looks at her, unsure and lost.
I don't like Sumbul. And the story started with a shocking twist.
I couldn't see any hope in the lead males. But aahista aahista I develope a liking for Mikaal.
