Beautiful song; track of the year is here
One was unbearable BS and the other one was Saawariya.
I liked Saawariya a LOT. Ranbir and Sonam looked so good together, they were just beautiful to behold. And I loved the broadway-esque feel of the film and all that excessive blue 😆- it felt like one of my daydreams/fantasies had been brought to life onscreen. And of course the music was so melodious.
Om Shaanti Om was pretty entertaining but I feel it is often overpraised to put down the other film. Imo it was a downgrade from Main Hoon Na, which was a real popcorn entertainer. SRK hammed it too much and the comedy portions were lame. The only good things about the film were the songs and the dreamlike Deepika as ShaantiPriya.
The songs were a craze. Aah those times of friday showdowns 🤩🤩🤩🤩

Exactly. And all that at a fraction of the cost and minus the nuisance of wearing the formals etc. SLB clearly intended for it to be a theater kind of experience but alas, very few people got it or were able to enjoy it. As for me, it was like a dream watching all that unfold on a big screen. SLB movies are a treat to watch on the bigscreen.
I remember how my family thought I lost it when I was like this was the best movie of my life.😆I guess to each their own.😆
If the primary purpose of a movie is entertainment, then OSO did the job while Sawariya failed.
Movies can be made to tell a story or educate also, neither of which SLB did.
IMO, SLB is self indulgent with his movies to the point of narcissism. As though he's saying come and see how great an artist I am.
Saawariya was so bad 😆 and OSO I still don’t see the hype about this movie lol . It was an average movie with tons of overacting
Ranbir Kapoor is still the best part of both the movies combined.

OSO doesn’t hold up well and Saawariya is straight thrash 🤣
But that day in 2007 it was clash of Titans 😆
