Not Post Malone numbers but I thought she should be able to do more than Sweetener’s numbers at least (231K in first week ) since she is now in her peak . I can think of these few things on top of my head :

a) bundles no longer being there ( so there were less digital sales .

b) Positions actually received mixed response outside of hardcore Arianators ( yes I admit to be one of them 😆). I saw a lot of people on Reddit complaining that it’s underwhelming compared to Thank You, Next . So people probably didn’t buy it as much .

c) Album leaking few days before release .

d) There weren’t any vinyls to help her sales numbers ( Taylor had 8 different limited edition ones for first week).

All that aside some Arianators were way on top of their hands when they thought they are going to cross Taylor’s Folklore numbers 🤦🏻‍♀️.
