The Queen’s Gambit

Ok so honestly, wasn’t expecting to like this one. It’s a period drama set in the 50’s and has a very BBC-esque feel to it, but it’s actually a Netflix production. The short version is that it’s about a girl who plays chess and is practically a genius at the game, but the way the story develops is impressive. You expect a lot of clichés from some scenes but thankfully they don’t materialise and I think that’s one of the reasons I enjoyed this show. You’re always kept guessing. Also this one scene where they play speed chess was all kinds of awesome😍

Lockdown is definitely getting me one step closer to completing the Netflix/Prime catalogue!😆

Fuller House S5 P2

It is not a great show, but it gives a nice healthy dose of feel-good, family-friendly fun.

The Good Place (S1-4)

Words are not enough to describe how phenomenal this show is. Rip-roaring funny and exceptionally clever.

Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge

Pure magic in the form of a movie.

All In: The fight for democracy

Forget voter fraud, it is voter suppression we should be focusing on. An eye-opening documentary about voter suppression that will leave you infuriated.

The Duff

A cute teen rom-com with a slight twist.

Watched The Brothers Bloom again. An unappreciated but beautiful movie. About two brothers, their con-men's team with a Japanese girl, their last cons with a reclusive billionaires daughter, and as their motto says, a perfect con is when everyone gets what they wanted, including the conned person... a perfect con.

The plot reminds one of 80s BW movies and execution of Wes Anderson's earlier films.

ETA: TIL the director Rian Johnson also directed Knives Out. So happy he made it. KO is the next movie I'm gonna watch.

Just rewatched Pinjar after a long time. The movie has aged so well. It’s even more relevant now. What a beautiful movie!

I could appreciate the nuances better and empathise more when I watched it recently. At that time I was too annoyed with them for casting Manoj opposite pretty Urmila.

Watched Mission Mangal. Very ghisi piti types but totally loved how Vidya was the boss through out due to her sheer talent and larger than life screen presence and aura. Can’t think of a more natural actress in the Indian Cinema. Such an absolute delight to watch!❤️

Feeling bad for Bittu, why only he died? And every body else got a happy ending. So unfair
