That there was no Bigg Boss in 2007.

From 2006 (Season 1), it directly jumped to 2008 (Season 2).

What happened to 2007? Why was there no BB in 2007? 2020 would have technically been Season 15.

Well, BB1 ran from Nov 2006-Jan 2007. After that there was likely a bidding war between Colors & Sony on who'll get the right of BB franchise, Colors won it & rebranded its theme, brought some changes in format & brought Shilpa Shetty on board (who's a bigger name than Arshad) as a host after her BB UK win.. hence the delay.

That makes sense... Is that why they haven’t invited Season 1 contestants since it got over? To avoid conflict?

They did invited Rakhi who was from season 1 as a guest (most notably on BB6), Ravi also came as a guest.

Colors also won the rights of Fear Factor franchise (Khatron Ke Khiladi) from 2nd season onwards, as season 1 came on Sony. Sony lost 2 of their hit realities to Colors who was a new channel back then & now way ahead of Sony in ratings. 😆

Rakhi appeared in Season 5, I think, for a performance on stage. What I meant was, they didn’t invite contestants from Season 1 for interviews and talks, like how they invite Kamya and others.

She also appeared on BB6 to introduce the village house where evicted contestants would stay.

No, they only invite the memorable contestants from past seasons or those who are active in the BB community, Kamya pretty much comes every season to jhaado the BB contestants. 😆
