Awesome. She deserves it. If John can ask for this amount, DP cant? Maybe if it was Sonam or even Anu, I would think it's too much but come on. She brings a lot of value and credibility to the table.

I say this as an SRK fan - although not a blind fan- the fact that she has signed on for this assures me that it wont be a run of the mill shitty film like Zero. I dont trust his script sense at the moment, but I do trust hers.

They were made on bigger budgets and lost more money. Chapaak according to trade experts was not a losing venture.

Well Pathan is a big budget movie so what's your point? Zero and Pagalpanti were still watched by more number of audience than Chhapaak.

Chapaak was a grim film on acid attack survivors and that too starring Deepika in a disfigured avtar which means it automatically cut off any sort of reliability factor.

Zero and Paagalpanti were made on big budgets and flopped misreably, even though they grossed more than Chapaak.

And yes, more people watched them because they were masala movies. That's d only reason.

My point is: producers suffered bigger losses on Zero and Paagalpanti than Chapaak. Chapaak was made on a low budget and was a documentary-style film, with a choppy and uneven screenplay. It wouldn't have become a hit even if Sallu starred in it, IMO.

ROI wise, Chapaak is a more successful venture than Zero and Pathan.

5 cr...10cr..15 cr... You won't get Deepika.Move on..

Unless a film comes up which will have a bigger budget/bigger worldwide expectations than her film with Prabhas & Big B ..she is not going to sign.

Stating facts is not making a point. What do you really want to say? I was talking to some other member and you jumped in between only to defend your favorite without seeing what was the conversation. It was about who has a more solid recent record.

Producers suffered losses with Zero and Pagalpanti because they were bad movies. If Chappaak couldn't make money even with Salman, then neither would've Zero. That excuse of subject and bad screenplay doesn't work only for Chhapaak and Deepika movies.

More or less doesn't matter. Chhapaak wasn't a successful venture in the first place
