Who is a better actor?
A difficult choice, I know, as both are extremely good.
I think Shahid is slightly more versatile and also the ability to break his own image more organically.

Shahid. For one, his dialog delivery is superior to Ranbir’s tapori-ish pronunciation that he uses in all his movies whether he was playing a sophisticated Bunny in YJHD or a innocent Raj in Saawariya or an agitated singer in Rockstar.

But he will need to quit playing silly games and gossiping and whatnot and go out to ask for work. Ie, forget his Kapoor ego for a bit which I'm not sure he can.

Maybe this is true. But it's also true that Shahid didn't take himself seriously as an actor until Kaminey. Leave Shahid, Bollywood and even audience didn't take acting seriously until last decade. Critical acclaim and awards were not at all a priority for mainstream actors.
Why does lead actor Ranveer look more like a side actor in Dhurandhar? So I was under the impression that Ranveer was playing the main lead in...
