I'm 3 hours late but I'll still say this. This Karwa Chauth is another regressive and stupid practice which needs to go.

Wives keeping fast can't extend the life span of their husbands. It only gives benefits to the women keeping the fast.

Happy Karwa Chauth

In today's time some men also keep fast along with or instead of their female partners

it's ok if it's their belief, if you can't force them to fast, you can't force them not to fast either👍🏼

I'm not forcing anyone. I'm just saying it's stupid. Karwa Chauth has became a tradition since ages so women are automatically forced to take part in it. No one forces them to not take part in it.

In my family, my parents take leave and both fast for each other, it’s out of love, wishing well for ones beloved life partner. All family members get loads of goodies to relish, it’s fun for everyone. I love to see my mom in her wedding saree n jewellery that evening, it’s a beautiful feeling. I wonder how many have seen their parents like this .
