Brilliant films that didn't set the box-office on fire?

How many times have we complained when mediocre films have earned big bucks at the box-office? But, it's even more unfair when brilliant films that receive widespread critical acclaim, and even generate positive word-of-mouth, fail to perform well at the ticket window. What are some examples which come to your mind?

For me:

1. Rocket Singh - If there's one movie that perfectly depicted the life of a salesman and the cutthroat business associated with the profession, it was this film. It also boasted a marvellous performance from Ranbir Kapoor.

2. Lootera - loved the film, it's such a gem. The best performances of Ranveer and Sonakshi to date.

3. Lakshya - One of the saddest stories at the Indian box-office is this coming-of-age blended with patriotic film being flat-out rejected by moviegoers.

4. Andaz Apna Apna - I don't know how it flopped. Such a genuinely funny movie which tickled the funny bone, a masterpiece.

Let me know which movies come to your mind!

Rocket Singh put me to sleep within the first 20 mnts. Lootera also gets better with repeated viewing but for the first time it is a handful.

Agree with Lakshya and AAA though.

This is one of my fav SRK movies. I love to rewatch it .
