Chapter 4

A person life doesn't always require a special or dramatic event for it to suddenly change.

Sometimes, very small and trivial things shake our lives with a force that is stronger than we expect.

It’s been two weeks since Riddhima’s return.

Ridhima (Mind): Not much has changed no new happenings. Surprisingly even Ishani has left me alone since our last encounter but does not leave any opportunity to put a snide remark and taunts here and there, but most of the time she leaves me alone. I on the other hand just plain ignore her and don’t bother with her childish behaviour I have other important things to focus on instead of that brat, but once in a while, I do end up giving her my sweet words of adoration (note the sarcasm) when she crosses a line.

Even Vansh has mellowed down as in trying to less talk more watching to my irritation. I know he is doubting me; trying to understand hence observing me be precise. Him being a sharp and intuitive man I know has sensed that something is different with me but is not able to understand it. Well good because I am not going to let you read me as easily as you used to. From here on you see and hear what I want you to. You will know what I will let you too. Rest you all can keep searching but I am not in the mood to let your searches and questions have answers just yet.

Sia has started with her new treatment and things are looking rather hopeful. Though among all these the most unexpected was Aryan and Chachi’s silence those two people till little more than a couple of months ago where hell-bent to ship me off from the face of mother earth are now silent too silent in fact for my liking.

Lost in her thoughts Riddhima walked in the corridors of VR Mansion and stopped in front of Chanchal Chachi’s room hearing voices.

Kabir: “Pick up the phoneRiddhima. Pick up the phone. Damn it. ”

shouted the very much frustrated Kabir.

Kabir: “Two weeks it’s been two weeks since she has returned and hasn’t bothered to give me a single call or message. Now she isn’t even picking my calls. First, she goes away to some for god's sake medical camp without informing me or anyone else. Now, this…. what are you playing at Riddhima? Do not play with me you will regret it.”

Said Kabir looking at Riddhima’s picture pinned on the board.

Kabir: “The last try ok do pick it this time.”

Said Kabir looking at Riddhima’s picture once again.

Picking up his cell he dialled Riddhima’s number once again and this time she does picks up. Wanting to blast at her yet controlling himself Kabir says

“Hello. Hello, Riddhima thank god you picked up the phone I was so worried about you. Are you ok?” asked Kabir with fake concern not willing to let go of his pawn out of his hands. “You know I had a terrible dream that you are in danger. Someone trying to threaten you someone killed you.”

Continued Kabir, on the other hand, Riddhima who had a boring look till now while listening to him looked up asking for patience from the dear lord and questioned her sanity wondering what did she even saw in him in the first place after hearing his last two lines.

Ridhima: “Kabir I am fine. Was there anything important for which you called?”

slightly surprised at her outright dismissal of him but then put at as a side effect of her love fever of Vansh that she has been suffering from the past few months he continued.

“Well last time when we talked you said about Ragini being alive. Are you sure about it? Did you get any more information on it?” inquired Kabir.

Of course, thought Riddhima and said

“No Kabir but as soon as I get to know anything you will come to know.” “Anyways Sejal has been with you how is she? did she say something? I want to talk to her.”

Inquire Riddhima shocking Kabir.

Kabir who himself was wondering about Sejal all this while and half dreading that chit of a girl who just like that vanished away from his captivity two months ago might have run away and opened her mouth in front of Riddhima which is why she wasn’t picking his calls and avoiding him sighed in relief.

Though he tried to find Sejal with all his might. That girl seems like have vanished away from the face of the earth. Where the hell was she he wondered? If even Riddhima does not know about her whereabouts where is she? Where is Sejal?

Ridhima: Kabir, are you there?

Kabir: “Yeah yeah, I aa I don know.”

Replied Kabir little dishevelled.

Riddhima: What?

Kabir: “aa I mean she left saying she has urgent work.”

Riddhima: That’s strange. She said she wants to tell me about something then she got kidnapped. Why didn’t she call me? I hope she is safe. Anyways if I find anything I’ll let you know so stop calling me every now and then.

Saying so she cuts the call leaving Kabir shocked with a slightly opened mouth. Though his mother told him Riddhima is behaving a little weird since her return but this? what the heck? The nerve of the girl how dare she cut his call? What the hell is wrong with her?

Ridima (Mind): Kabir the name that man thought Riddhima the very first guy she fell in love with. The one person she used to trust blindly. The one person trusting whom she came here and now here she is this far away. Was she that easy to fool or was it her want and desire to have a family blinded her to Kabir’s this side. Now that she thinks about it he wasn’t really discreet when he left her in the middle of the road when she proposed to him without answering, he wasn’t discreet even then when he asked her to go on a cruise to spy on Vansh or then when he asked her to marry Vansh.

Blinded she was indeed in his love otherwise why not for a moment she thought who the hell asks for a price of love, who then sends the person they claim to love in the mouth of danger instead of protecting them, and what kind of guy sends his girl near another man or asks her to go near another man? Was she that naive or just outright fool to believe him just like that? She did not know but from here no man or person is going to take advantage of her innocent heart she decided.

Sejal that poor girl who was kidnapped by Kabir while foolish me thought he protected her. She came to know about Kabir and Anupriya then got kidnapped by Aryan and Chachi and tortured to get information about me to use it against me by instigating Vansh against me only to be kidnapped again by Kabir.

Only if Aryan and Chachi knew there is nothing he already isn’t aware of so much effort for nothing. Sejal has been freed two months ago and right now is preparing for a lavish event in Dubai. How? That’s for later. Though Sejal is safe now these people have to pay for what they did to her and pay they will for now I need to prepare for tomorrow after all we’ll be having a special guest. (smirking)

Meanwhile, Kabir gets a video clip from an unknown email id in which Vansh was pointing a gun at Ragini with a message saying from a well-wisher make the best use of it but nothing more no name or address.

Smirking Kabir (Mind): Well Vansh seems like your downfall has just begun. Now all I need to do is find Ragini and kill her then put you in jail on the charges of her murder. Pretty simple but, why not arrest you now? You still love her that’s why you are protecting her by hiding her from everyone and making them think she is dead surely you won’t bring her out now. Would you? I don’t think so. So here I come.

Nextday at VR Mansion

Aryan: Don’t worry mom today this Riddhima’s chapter will be over and done for Vansh Bhai himself will make sure.

Chanchal Chachi: “Yes, Aryan this time, our plan is full proof. It will teach Riddhima the lesson of her life if Vansh left her alive after this.”

Says so Chanchal gleefully when suddenly the doorbell rang while everyone came to hall hearing Inspector Kabir’s voice who was asking for his one true love and obsession of his life Vansh.

Everyone gathered in the hall.

Kabir: Mr Vansh Rai Singhania you are under arrest on the charges of your ex-fiancee Ms Ragini.

Said Kabir leaving everyone shocked.
