“Beta aap chale jao office main zara MrNahar se baat karke I will go meet Rakshit at Hyatt”
“Don’t you need the car?” he asked politely
“Umm.. nahi, rakho aap gaadi, I called Param already”
He nodded turning to open the car door
Viveka softly stepped back trying to getaway
“Aura ap beta, kaise aaye aap?”
Raanav turned around
“Er.. I took a Metro I will be fine Sir”
Satyen smiled at Raanav at that Sir”
“Sure?”
“Jee… jee” she nodded
“Aapke Papa hamey ghar par khaana owekarte hain”
“Oh?” “OK” she nodded
“Bataya nahi aapko?”
“Umm… no actually”
“Chaliye humne keh diya”
“Thanks” she smiled
“Mr Nahar aura ap baat kar lena”
“Sure sure” she nodded waving
“Raanav can drop you at the Metro”
“Oh no… Green Park station is just right around the corner”
“Spoken like a true Delhite” he laughed
“I hope I am” she nodded and waved
She didn’t wave Raanav a good bye
Ouch!! And Yipee!!
She was piling on misdemeanors one after another
Abhishek called
“Sorry keh raha hoon kitni baar textmein, answer kyon nahi maarti rey tu?”
“After what you said about me not beingbusy it doesn’t deserve an answer” she panted weaving through traffic running across the road
Both father and son watched it
“Aapne help ki beta?”
“With what?”
“I don’t know Mr Mathur said one of you did”
“Ah”
“Rakshit tha?”
“No it was me”
“Thanks kaha”
“Oh?”
“Mr Mathur ne” Satyen peered at his phone, Mr Nahar had stepped into a nearby store to get something
“Ah… good” he whispered
As long as that thanks was owed to him he was OK
Thanks… and a Good bye… two things actually
Women swooned wherever he went, be it the Nag’s Head or Grenadier in London or Lombardis’ or Tavern on the Green in NYC
Women were usually moths to his flame...
But for the first time in life, he didn’t exist, she was confident and self assured and didn’t flutter her eyelids coyly or giggle unnecessarily or dart furtive glances. She didn’t want his number on some pretext or the other, neither did she try and add him on social media
His insults were blunting. He had even subscribed to Econometrica, and The Journal of Political Economy to bolster his fiscal and monetary policy muscle power
He stood in the 50C sun unmindful of the deadly heat imagining laying by her side on the deck of the yacht somewhere in the Indian Ocean inflaming her into pointless contentions on various theories
Viveka had entered the Metro station talking and had set up time to meet with Abhishek for dinner
She liked him, liked hanging out with him
Dadi was home
It was going to be painful at dinner for the foreseeable future
Now would be a good time to have Savi Bua adopt me she thought, setting her thoughts on sail
Thanks a lot Nisha.....love u loads
Thanks nisha for loads of updates🤗
“Oh my God!”
The dude called her out on not being thanked. She got put on the spot. Its rare to see her speechless.

Imagination is sailing for both. On a yacht, he would argue about economics? They have more in common than originally appeared.
Raanav Parashar is a man made of sterner stuff .
To be on his shoes now, having expressed his intense love for her, knowing it's one sided, unrequited yet and not stalk her frustrated or entitled like a hero is awesome. Once he got to know her he stopped belittling her. All the meetings that have followed have been chance meetings but not once he has crossed his line.
To dream a life, hold a partial hope that one day they can be together , to be patient and not crowd her demanding her time takes a lot of jigar and self worthiness

Very well written. Yes its great class!
