(Ok so I’m writing up a summary for others like me, who have trouble watching without English subtitles.)
Episode 5 (second part)
Amal makes breakfast for the younger siblings but they don’t want it. They ask her for money to buy breakfast from outside. Amal says she can make other food for them, but they persist so she looks sad that they don’t understand the money problems they’re having but she still reaches into her purse and takes out whatever’s left of her hard earned cash.
In the meantime a lazy spoilt Mikaal is woken up and told by his mother that he should start going to the office. It turns out when her father died she gave her part of the business to her brother (Shahmeers and Anny’s Dad) but she now wants Mikaal to work in the office so that they should still have their hand in the business. He tells her she shouldn’t have given everything to his uncle, but she replies that she trusts her brother. Mikaal thinks to himself that this is the reason they’re all so keen on him marrying Anny.
Amal is delaying going to the boutique as she’s scared she might be stalked again by Shahmeer, so instead does some housework but her stepmother finds her and is cross that she’s still at home. She fails to notice that Amal is worried and pale, instead she is cold towards her and shouts at her saying if she’s late to work she’ll get a pay cut.
Sadly Amal goes into her room, closes the door behind her, crouches down and cries. She silently prays to God to help her, she feels trapped and depressed. On one side there’s her step family who don’t care for her, mistreating and taking advantage of her, and then there’s the creep Shahmeer and she’s scared to go to the boutique because he knows she works there.
She phones her friend and says she can’t come to work and that she’s had enough and wants to commit suicide. She can’t cope anymore and cries and says why did my dad leave me and that she misses him a lot. Her friend tells her softly to have courage and eventually makes her smile.
Her stepmother who was eavesdropping has heard Amal from the window talking about suicide and suddenly is concerned and fake cares for her telling her to rest at home and that she’ll get her tea.
Noshaba (the stepsister) wonders what’s made her Mum have a sudden change of heart but then understands when she explains that if Amal dies there won’t be anyone earning for the family, and so they have to do this drama so that they don’t starve.
Amal decides she wants to go to work after all and ignores her stepmothers sweet talk, who fake insists that she would also work if only she could. The ungrateful stepmother then talks to herself blaming her husband for never giving her peace, whether he’s alive or dead.
Mikaal is driving the sports car when another friend stops and chats to him. He says Shahmeer wants his car back and then says he is always following that girl (Amal) and how sad it is that because of her the two cousins aren’t friends. Mikaal says the car is not a gift and that he won it in a bet.
Amal passes in a taxi and sees them.
She later tells her friend at the boutique she saw Mikaal. Her friend hopes he apologised for his shameful behaviour.
Amal says those type of people can’t be forgiven even if they apologise and that he should be punished so much that any boy thinking of doing anything similar wouldn’t dare do it. But she says she knows that she can’t do anything about it and wonders how many more rich brats like Mikaal are in the society. Her friend tells her she’ll pray for her.
