It is. Esp only yellow gold ones without uncut diamonds or precious stones. Not wearable outside India at all.

It was cool until day before yesterday 😛

A senate democrat was criticizing Judge Amy Coney Barrett for using the term during her Supreme Court confirmation hearing on Tuesday saying it was offensive

Immediately, on real time , the Merriam-Webster changed its definition of “preference” to note that the term is “offensive” when used in connection to an individual’s sexual orientation

Up until Monday, it was considered non-offensive by Webster, universally used including by prominent democrats...

It’s stunning just stunning, that the dictionary updates to align with the democrats

Deception of freedom is short-lived. Once into marriage its hard for girl to step out..

What this ad is depicting is too idealistic thinking which obviously is existing in reel world only. In real world and to this date many Hindu girls have face torture, abduction, rape and are murdered if they deny conversion. Girls might fall for this rosy scenario looking at the ad but they would end up facing reality which is harsh and cruel.

@ bold part is that only limited to Hindus? What about the other side.. why Muslim girls are not allowed to marry Hindu guys... the percentage is so small that its almost non existent.

I’ve grown up watching Veer Zaara or Hrithik and Suzanne being married... Hindu man marries a Muslim woman so I never thought it was a big deal. I always thought how extremists put fatwas on Salman for celebrating Hindu festivities was crazy but I also think the reaction to this ad is messed up too. Extremism of any religion is the worst.

Yes definitely reaction to this ad is messed up but not in a way you are thinking. You know what I was actually thinking of explaining with long explanation but maybe its not needed. I mean you might have made up your mind.

On the other end it is funny when Hindus have to continuously ‘prove’ our secular credentials, whereas on the other side we are talking about an extremist religion. Which refuses to amalgamate or adapt according to changing times... If that was not the case they wouldnt have fought for removing triple talak or come in the way of government launching Uniform Civil Code.

Germans, Netherlands have apologized to the Jews for holocaust , British have regretted for Jallianwala Bagh massacre.

Will Muslims ever render apology to Hindus for decades or centuries of atrocities?

As a matter of fact they go around and talk about Hindu extremism, a pot calling kettle black?

Honestly, aaj kal toh cosmopolitan Indian cities mein bhi no-one wears such gold. Some brides agree to wear it on their wedding day for tradition if MIL is being a nuisance about it, but that’s it.

White gold with diamonds is love though. The only annoying bit is if you wear it for everyday use, the white begins to fade :(

Anyone following Vijay devarakonda and Gulshan Devaih's exchange... his preference for benevolent dictatorship and restricted franchise made me do a facepalm. Gullu probably tried to tell he was talking nonsense but his dialogue fell flat.. now Vijay's brother has stepped in condemning personal attack
