Yes people need to get this in their head that he has gone as a mentor, not as a contestant. He is thinking more from creatives, makers pov. They have employed him with a purpose.

Exactly...he is doing a job there...in last season he had to show the world who he was and he didn't have to worry about other's potential and just had to play his own game...he doesn't had to concern himself about what others are doing and how others are performing but this time he had to ..he has a responsibility of bringing those contestants out of their shell .. he has to be critical of their performance and think about what would be good for the show and encourage that ...it's not about himself this time...the support nikki gets from seniors is because of this reason only.... the girl has performed really well and today she proved she can perform the tasks too ..now seniors wants to see how she manages if given a responsibility and power ...
