Shravan's turmoil

The best scene today was Shravan's scene with all his friends - old and new😆....talking about Suman.

We get a sense of the turmoil inside Suman when we see her do things like hide his pictures in her desk drawer and pop gum whenever she thinks about him.....but today, we got a window into Shravan's turmoil and the depth of his torment.

Bunty was so scared of the other guys bringing up Sumo's name in front of Shravan, but Shravan surprised him and all of us by so candidly talking about Sumo to his new friends😆....this was a nice refreshing touch from a story perspective.....he didn't try to hide his past from his new friends.

The way he spoke of Sumo in this scene again showed the depth of his understanding of her....how he's always known that she hides a very emotional heart behind her kadak demeanor....how he knows all the little things she likes to eat or drink....how much she loves discipline....lol he said this all with a fond smile and there was no hiding his love for her. Even his friends looked taken aback....and when they asked the obvious question about how he knows so much about her, Shravan didn't hold back and admitted quite candidly that there was a time when him and Sumo madly loved each other. But then followed the obvious question about what happened after that....and that is when Shravan turned to bitterness and brushed it off as a childish mistake that everyone does once in their lives.

I was watching this and thinking....a) Shravan can't and doesn't seem to realize the disconnect between how much his love for Sumo still reflects in his eyes and words and the way he tries to dismiss it in bitterness....lol....and b) Somewhere, all these years of being away from her, maybe hearing his own family downplay their love as just a naadaani has helped feed that narrative in his mind too that this was just a childish misadventure.

I don't think he really believes it was a childish misadventure....but those words are an easy shield to use for something he can't reconcile with....the HOW....how could they have fallen apart when they so madly loved each other.....that is the turmoil inside him....trying to make sense of something that he can't find an answer to.

Chalo, like standard aashiqs, he's taken to daaru to drown his gham😆.....after everything he went through, one can't blame him....baaki Army ka excuse toh hai hi whiskey peene ke liye😆

The other thing I liked about this scene was the play of expression on Bunty's face as he saw Shravan talk about Sumo....he looked so happy seeing Shravan remembering her fondly....and then he became sad as he saw the hurt/bitterness taking over in Shravan's words.

Very nice scene....it gave a nice vibe of Shravan's past and present coming together in a combined friend circle where he genuinely shared everything with them......sirf naam ki dosti nahin hai.

oh that was such a beautiful scene to watch simply caz of how heartfelt it was. To start of i won't lie I was getting irritated by that bassi trying to shut bunty up and acting as if bunty is a nobody mujhe ghussa aaya and I was wanting to punch him in the face how dare him but then shravan went chod na covering up they are my friends too sab bata dete hain and bunty still so concerned all the worry on his face he was on the edge not knowing how to protect his friend despite his assurance ke batane de. I was loving the gusshe wale expressions he was giving to that bassi ke how dare you hurt shravan doesn't matter you are unaware bura toh mujhe bhi lag raha tha at him dismissing bunty .Bunty jaisa such main koi nahi.

When did this bassi anyway have developed a crush on suman? Kaafi out of place tha ek dum se woh but I liked that after shravan ka outpouring his heart out like this they respected and shravan ka ab inse kya chippana. Again what a wonderful act by mohit all that graph of emotions ranging from his stern main janta hoon uska naam to when he started narrating the details the soft coming out of the genuine fondness he has had for her like he still has no control over that part jitna bhi sakht banane ki koshish kar le woh warmth aa hi jaati hai he just can't control that pyari si smile that lingered on his face when he kept going about every little sumo thing and bunty also watching with that bittersweet sa smile I was loving the in sync expressions of bunty with shravan everytime he went on a high and took a pause realizing ke kuch bohat zyada na ho jaaye or when the hurt pinched him like at the badminton part he was getting swayed so he switched to chai the way bunty ka face was expressing every turn as if he is re-living and feeling every bit as strongly as shravan caz he loves and cares for him that much oh my🤗

Awe at shravan ka usse uniform main ladke bohat pasand hain and then his sirf paagal hi toh thay one could clearly see his pent up enotions and how he is fighting with that toofan inside him he knows it wasn't just childish love like duh it just can't be anyone who sees this intensity in the way he felt and still feels nobody feels that in childish puppy love and gets this effected so many years later. I agree their is a complete disconnect of shravan from the depth of his fondness still as i said on top he can't control that part he purposely starts with strong sakht attitude but isko khud pata nahi chalta when it turns into this super softness and Narmi in his overall demeanor. There were plenty of moments where he took a pause and tried to kept his hardness yet everytime he started the flow went into this softness and totally with you on point B too he is unable to understand that very thing how and when did it go from such a strong emotion to it being called a childish thing he still feels it's strong but caz everyone keeps chiding him ke Bachpan ka pyar tha so he started saying it too and also caz i guess that keeps him sane now warna yeh kisi paagal deewane se kam toh hai nahi in how deeply this force overpowers him had he not started taking that as a cover up toh yeh apne emotions ki intensity se hi pagla jaata. So his coping mechanism seems to be Bachpan ka pyar/bewakoofi thi even though his heart really doesn't believe it as he knows it very well ke nahi thi but apne aap ko behlane ke liye khayal acha hai galib and despite all this past telling he can't really stay there for more questions and is also afraid ke iske baad he won't have ittu sa bhi control so he quickly leaves only to drown himself in more whisky😆 But must say it just blends with the army setting and isn't jarring as the gum neither is he specifically having his drinks to present a devdas mode specifically kaafi seamless blend hai even though we know gham duba raha hai yeh bhi

The mood of the friends after he left all serious but still because they don't know how it was in real life they can only shake their heads and stay quite but it's bunty who knows every detail and the depth of it so he is the only one left with a worried face not knowing what to do exactly at that moment caz they are not kids where he can just follow him around but still he is the one who goes into so much worry about how he must be feeling in that moment so freaking dil ko chune wala *mwah *

From there to shravan trying to get a hold in his room with his whiskey 😆 hahah I can't believe he actually thought suman isko call karegi despite how cold she has been oh you are cute shravan but his instant rant was also quite like old shravan ke nahi baat karni na😆. Noticeable was how again suman and facdpack wali yaad brought such andar se laugh out of him and he genuinly laughed without the forced facade of being cheery it had the masoomiyat of old shravan until the reality strikes him again and he hardened like a rock 👏 brilliant brilliant switch again from Mohit he leaves me in awwee each time with how seamless the switches are between this emotional rollercoaster

well... another good episode. I LOVED the "love" behind the hurt that Mohit was able to display ---- just awesome scene -- his talking almost fondly, and cherishing those memories, hurt notwithstanding. And we see that in the precap at the "tea stall".

And the whole face pack shot by Veer --- OMG, so cute! The sheer happiness he felt, and then checks himself in the mirror! Poor guy will be SOOOO hurt if he thinks Sumo trying to move on.

I also liked Sumo's reflection of hurt - and her unwitting "caring" -- the whole shaheed hone ka race -- gave her pause, and you can tell the worry... and then she talks herself out of it. The whole lawyer angle -- is not very appealing in the precap.....I dont like this whole 3rd angle bit! How I WISH this was about them -- not some 3rd wheeler.

Also --- I think maybe another time -- Veer will show something else on the phone, and Shravan will realize Sumo's mom is also gone? What do you think?

Oh btw it was amusing to me that shravan still feela as challenged by suman he had the same fiercenwss telling veer ke didu kaun hoti hai humare beech aane wali that he used to had before everytime someone and esp suman challenged him 😆

It is so refreshing to have a show, which just goes about the situation in a normal way. I so expected a constant hit and miss between SS , before they actually come face to face or in this case both of them hiding about their past. So when we watch such scenes it comes as a pleasant surprise and more often then not, dil ko chhu jaate hai:)

The kind of love these two had, its so much more difficult to keep their emotions in check with such close proximity! As you said with Sumo we knew she is affected by him. But we got to see Shravans side today. For us as viewers, it felt like how Bunty did when Shravan was reliving their story with a fond smile:) Its like we saw that friendship grow into love and felt the depth and then complete disenchantment from the very concept of love:(

Poor Bunty had a mini heart attack, as he was trying desperately to avoid bringing ‘one who must not be named ‘ in the conversation. But Shravan just made it easier by talking about Sumo:)

Shravan trying to dismiss his love as bachpan ki bewakoofi, yet describes it in the most beautiful manner. His friends wanted to know about his love story and like anyone would, they might have expected to know how they met, how they fall in love, etc. But you know the depth of his love, with the way he just describes her qualities, her likes, dislikes , her values and beliefs. All this with a shine in his eyes and a fond smile while he is reliving everything.

So agree with this. And it came through more seeing reaction of his army friends when he finished with dismissing his love as naadani. None of them bought it, simply because of the manner in which he spoke about Sumo and that fond smile and tone while talking about her.

It feels like a defense mechanism he had developed to save himself from the hurt. Trying to convince himself it was just a childish mistake, otherwise it would be so much more difficult to live with this heart break.

It just felt like an occasional drink with friends, but gham mein thodi zyaada ho gai😆 Itna to allowed hai, as opposed to being a complete devdas😆

Sumo at the same time was talking to her diary about Shravan😆 She literally did not believe anything Shravan said, she did not even have a doubt that whatever Shravan said he did not mean it. She also got mad at him for his obsession to win the shaheed race( What kind of a race is that🤔)

Both of them know each other well, but are never going to accept it😆

I felt like Bunty too the whole time.😆 He has literally been there with Shravan almost the entire time. He knew the meaning behind every word spoken and every emotion Shravan felt!

Inn dono ka bachpana abhi gaya nahi😆 Both are out there trying to hurt each other, but inse nahi hone wala😆 I also laughed at Sumos need to clarify everytime he is just a patient and she is not interested in their personal life😆 The best was her, tumhein atakna pade, latakna pade, nikalna pade, I care a damn🤣 They are both in a competition to show each other koi fark nahi padta and are going out of their way to prove it😆

Dono? Shravan toh phir bhi considers before saying something gives consideration and only has been firing as jawabi karwaai I fauji lingo the attack starts from captain Dr at any given oppurtunity 😆

But then followed the obvious question about what happened after that....and that is when Shravan turned to bitterness and brushed it off as a childish mistake that everyone does once in their lives. +1 for this scene, i feel he was a dusted book which just need a catalyst to open up...bunty was trying to shrug this topic thinking shravan's mood will be off again just like when bunty bought up the talking but to much to his surprise he doesnt shy away, talking it out and sharing his experience also made his army friends respect him for going past thru such an experience...drinking wine & remembering suman in his moments, man this turning point has changed him emotionally & physically upside down...he'd rather be blunt than sugar-coat this experience or dare/bet basi to ask suman out like he used to do but not anymore...the kid's man-ed up...rather than deceiving, give basi a reality check..
