I see two possiblity here

Avni ka we know has a rich powerfulfather but she shows no signs of richness she behaves like a middle class house wife and lives with what Malhar can afford . And her dad also doesn't seem to interfere much in her life or keen to inquire about the constant hospital visits by his daughter and her health condition. She seems to call him rather than he calling her much.

Money wise also no help. No help when Malhar was suspended too.

Usually apni daamad pasand na ho tab bhi sasur does that for sake of their daughter right

It seems like father is name sake or he can't publically help his daughter and Avni had no proper family to return to

Isliye she is clinging on to malhar her last hope and malhar also takes care of her as she has no one else to depend upon

This makes me doubt wether she is the illegitimate daughter or daughter from the first wife of vikrams dad. He may care for her but can't publically accept either due to izzat issue or fearing daamini and her boys harming Avni

Second possibility it is vikrams younger brother who is the real father of avnis kid

Maybe Avni's father is someone else who wanted to get rid of her baby and somehow Malhar has saved her from that.

Probably that's why Malhar was shown to be angry when she called her dad in one epi.

And her dad knows kid is not Malhar's. He might be just keeping quiet because somehow his daughter's name will not get maligned.

Shayad KalMa ka task hoga to find Avni's real culprit (he may be even turn out Damini's second son) and get justice for her.

Actually ek cheez he I really don't know ki malhar hates avnis dad or not

That day he was already frustrated as kalyani accused him of being dhokebaaz also he was accused of being a man who had failed to fullfill every responsibility of a man as a son , husband father and as a police officer ( AN auction issue mei)

So basically when he comes back home jiska responsibility usne udhake rakha he which he is fullfilling well she also considers him incapable and went on to call her father of help

It was like she top declared him as a failure by calling her dad and complaining to him
