A delayed teenage rebellion?

Well, things have taken a bit of a surprising turn here😆.

I always thought Suman was the more emotionally stronger of the two, and Shravan would be the one more devastated over losing her. But the story has thrown up a surprise here 7 years later.

Shravan has amazingly managed to channel his hurt and heartbreak into not just becoming an Army Officer, but also managing to retain his general cheerful demeanor. Granted, he's mainly using that demeanor as a facade to hide the pain inside him, but the fact that he even managed to do this much is a surprise to me. In that way, he has managed to change a bit because he's learnt to hide some of his emotions better rather than always just blurting out and expressing every shift of emotion he felt.

New Suman is the bigger surprise....or should I say shock😆. This girl is so utterly lost now, man....I thought in the aftermath of her father's death, there will be pain, there will be bitterness....but I never thought I'd see a Suman being so openly rude and disrespectful with pretty much every person she talks to....I found it funny that her assistant was calling her "kadak"....this was so BEYOND kadak....lol. Kadak was the original Sumo who was a disciplinarian but still never talked down to people like this. This Sumo now seems to only have anger and contempt for the whole world around her....she seems to hate her patients, her CO, and even her Chachi somehow.....lol. I got the sense that I'm seeing a delayed teenage rebellion from Sumo now in her 20s....shaayad teenage years mein chance miss ho gaya so she's taking out the bhadaas now😆.

Ofcourse this is all Shravan's fault....kyun chhoda apni Sumo ko? 😆....yeah she kicked you out, pushed you away, but let's not get into semantics now😛.....the real tragedy is watching a Sumo who's totally lost her way without Shravan's presence in her life. I'd thought she'd make her father's dream her life's mission, but even after achieving her father's dream, she seems to have become a supremely unhappy, bitter person filled with contempt for the world around her.....the caustic lines she keeps tossing around like woh CO khud khush nahin hain, dusro mein gham baante hain aur kehte hain GUM allowed nahin hai😆....the fact that she's chewing gum to flout the rules of the unit....and then she's sticking that chewing gum on the wall (eww....lol)....matlab she's acting out like a teenager....and this is supposedly a 7 years older Sumo😆.

Shravan has changed too....taking risks with his life all the time, having a cavalier attitude about life in general and also feeling a general sense of bitterness that he was unwanted and unlovable. But somehow all his changes seem negligible in the face of WHAT Sumo has become....I'm still reeling😆.

Then there's the court case....on top of everything else, Tiwaris, especially Suman seem to have spent 7 years trying to get Devraj convicted of treason and murder.....so now there's "dushmani" in the mix too and some more justifiable reasons for Shravan to feel bitter.

To me, it's still not clear what Sumo is more rage filled over....wanting to convict Shravan's father or blaming Shravan for taking her away from her father? And is sabke baad bhi she has a drawer full of Shravan pics and chewing gum? 😆....but yeah it's clear that the girl has been consumed by bitterness and revenge for 7 years and become this loose cannon lashing out at everyone around her all the time. The Sumo who was so level headed and calm in managing most situations...the Sumo Shravan looked up to is long gone.....lol this Sumo seems constantly volatile and on the edge, waiting to rip everyone's head off.

Talk about the side effects of a festering wound....first her father's death, then the seperation from Shravan seems to have hit Suman harder and she's gone into a very dark place inside her mind.

interesting take on epi lol

I wasnt as shocked sumo seemed really bitter in her last scene pre leap she said the civilians were all kinds of bad so im not shocked she treats most of them like this including her chachi lol Sumo has been given the ML treatment here who post leap is bitter and wants revenge for the supposed wrong done to him lol She also probably has daddu and his bitter words filling her up lol unless he is dead and his ghost has possessed sumo lol

Sumo might have joined the army and even become a doctor as per vijays dream but she has no one who is there to really guide her and her family doesnt seem to have been any help in trying to heal her wounds lol

Im glad shravans essence stayed the same yeah he is also a little bitter but not at sumo level lol also it does help his dad is alive to fight for his innocence so the deep wound that sumo has isnt there for him. Its like shravan has matured a bit but still kept the jovial shravan part of him in tact but inside he is sad and lonely and hurt. Also his daredevil acts might be his way of coping with what life has thrown him lol

So the case goes on i wonder if this is some army case or a civil criminal case lol im sure daddu is not giving up lol

I hope they fill in the blanks of what happened in these 7 years.

Veer seems to be the cupid trope for suvan ? I knew the kid was sumos cousin how predictable lol

I hope we see kancha and bunty soon, kancha not being here while her family is makes no sense unless they say she works in another city lol

also why was the kid saying his family is civilian if daddu heard him he would disown him lol

Im surprised shravans family still lives next door after all this but i guess they need the characters to interact closely lol

I was honestly shocked......I wrote in other posts......was overwhelming for me to watch her today...hope they explain the reasons in later epis....

That looks similar to what we saw as Shravan's character at the beginning of the show....

.

Thanks for the nice review...yes, you're correct time to time it seems delayed teenage outburst.......

@ B....looks like you did sum up causes of Suman's entire change nicely right here.........

Yep, that seems to be it....she joined the Army to fulfill Vijay's dream but there is still an emptiness inside her. All her life she was trained to view that Army dream as the end all and be all of her life....and the irony is now that she's living the dream but still hates the world around her. The Sumo who used to talk about the Army so respectfully is now mocking her own CO😆

Goes to show that you can't find fulfillment if you do not have your loved ones in your life.....one she lost accidentally, the other she pushed away cruelly.....and so poor Sumo is left all alone with no one to pull her out of this dark abyss.

I'm not sure how much they will explain😆....I know people are thinking some more story may unfold in the FBs to explain why Sumo has changed this radically but I feel clarity will only come whenever SS manage to directly confront each other over these 7 lost years where so much hurt has built up inside them.

Right now they are both trying to cope with it in different ways...Suman is chewing gum and lashing out at people😆.....Shravan is being a daredevil with no regard for his life....in a sense, both of them are being cavalier about their lives.....one by putting it in physical danger, the other by letting her soul rot away in bitterness.

Also sometimes i wonder if this really was sumos dream or more vijays. she is a smart girl she could have chosen any career but this but i guess this was meant to be. Sumo is def alone the way she talked to chachi shows the change in relations and i wonder how she is with her mom who for a lack of better words is useless lol. Its kinda sad sumo really only had her dad who she could depend on emotionally. She seems to be normal with veer though lol

I feel bad for the army they got ayw sumo as an army doctor and then there is sanki captain shravan lol

LMAO yesh, the 360 turnover turned suman into a sassy + blunt captain/doctor...even her assistant agreed that she has her own way of handling the patients...she dont mind yelling the shit out of her patients & voicing out her POV ...she gets irritated & rebellious...she dont mind eating chewing gum and sticking them onto the wall even pissing her assistant off to get it cleaned fearing the loss of her job...

Shravan has changed too....taking risks with his life all the time, having a cavalier attitude about life in general and also feeling a general sense of bitterness that he was unwanted and unlovable. But somehow all his changes seem negligible in the face of WHAT Sumo has become....I'm still reeling😆. the moment suman said that devraj was traitor seems to hit him hardcore for some reason...like he felt hurt when the he needed her the most..lmao when got called sanky malhotra that was funny...but i feel its good thing that he still retains some aspects of his personality but toned it down with time...

Then there's the court case....on top of everything else, Tiwaris, especially Suman seem to have spent 7 years trying to get Devraj convicted of treason and murder.....so now there's "dushmani" in the mix too and some more justifiable reasons for Shravan to feel bitter. yeah no wonder why his expression when he was hospitalized showed that grudge..that both parties dont seem to budge off..even suman seems so invested bc of this otherwise she wouldnt say the sachai ka dialog...

To me, it's still not clear what Sumo is more rage filled over....wanting to convict Shravan's father or blaming Shravan for taking her away from her father? Talk about the side effects of a festering wound....first her father's death, then the seperation from Shravan seems to have hit Suman harder and she's gone into a very dark place inside her mind. yeah she seems to zone out from her usual self...she even criticized why ppl even think of marriages or forming relationships...

i feel like she might be come the mentor to veer if he were to join the army..probably what she wasnt able to see with vijay, she'll ensure that veer does so...like repeating the same words "hows my favorite cadet?" etc..

Originally it did seem to be Sumo's dream as well but maybe in the aftermath of Vijay's death, it became more of a mission than a dream. It gave her purpose briefly but now after achieving it, she still seems unhappy and bitter.....which honestly is a disrespect to Vijay's memory and dreams for her. Such irony that she felt she needed to "make up" for her "mistake" by fulfilling her father's dream but she's only ended up becoming a person that I doubt her father would be happy with, even if she's an Army officer. He wanted her to be a great one.....not this miserable, constantly disrespectful officer.

LOL yeah Army will have their hands full with these two crackpots.
