I know what you mean. It took me a long time to set aside my personal negative feelings for this guy and respect him for his on field talent. How he treated Kumble and hangs on to Shastri didn't help

Mr. Gavaskar should have never brought Anushka in to the conversation whether demeaning or not. His job is to comment/critique on cricketing aspects and the game that is played and not on cricketer's personal life. He can criticize Virat for his game but he simply cannot bring his wife into it while criticising even if it was just a jovial comment by him. I have never seen him commenting like that for other cricketer's wife, he should extend that respect for Anushka as well. Just cause she belongs to Bollywood and known face does not mean she can be made joke off.

This is exactly what happens when their is cheap internet available people tweet anything another bunch makes it viral while the third without even verifying takes it seriously and reacts and as usual it will take the patriarchy feminism route!

It wasn't the first time she was hold responsible for his underperformance. It was nobody's business to mention at first place. Her reaction is absolutely acceptable and I totally support her here. Whatever you may call her, attention seeker, asking for 2-minute-fame or calling her a dimwit, that oldy was wrong and he should not have brought her name.
