Hi does anyone watching Mere dad ki Dulhan on Sony? Today they played Arshi’s BG for daughter role and her boss 😳

I don't watch TV at all but this is such a disturbing news. 😐

It isn't even on Star plus... how did Sony get the rights to that music?! 🙄

And why are they selling the rights like this dammit!! A big channel like Sony wouldn't be using the music unless they obtained it in a proper way.

But this is so sad. Arshi tune has to remain different na.. 😒

Btw, which tune was it? Don't tell me Rabba ve itself 🙈🙈.

Just checked it after seeing your post never watched that show before but yes they have used our Rabba ve tune🤢 not completely just a bit from start that hayeee hayeee line but why to use that bit also. make your own tune😡 and leave our Rabba ve for OUR ARSHI na 🤬

It's not even a Star show. Where is the ever active Star's copy right team doing on this.

Mere Dad Ki Dulhan bgm is also composed by Raju Singh. So he can actually re-use any of his tunes. He has the rights.

Thank you for the information. As I previously said, a big channel like Sony wouldn't be using a tune in its show if they didn't have the permission to do so.

My concern was not the rights but the reason... WHY?! He is such a good composer, he made great tunes. Why not make a completely different one instead of reusing parts of his old tune. Maybe just trying to cash in on the fame it gained? Whatever it is... even if he or the serial makers are not legally wrong, I feel sad about the misuse of a tune that is inherently attached to Arshi in everyone's mind.

Well, with all the "remixes" that we see today, this was bound to happen na 🙈.

That's true. But as a composer he has to see that this particular music is for Arshi he can compose other tune for that show.
