I hope you will be patient, the reading is likely to be very long 😆. I didn't read your messages before so as not to influence me ^^
Today the episode has consolidated me in the fact that playing the role of Rey's lawyer is a good choice. On the whole the episode has both good and bad sides.
Here we go. ☯️
Rey hit Vardhan because he dared to put his hands on Pranati, but Vardhan didn't finish, he said Rey he made the blood come out of the Khurana's is he has lost his head and he asks who Pranati is to him (we remember that Armaan had already asked him the question), she is not his girlfriend, nor his wife so it remains only his prostitute (just for that, he deserves to be hit!). He tells her that it's her fault for letting Pranati come into their house when he knows that it's the men who lead their family (but of course it's nonsense, Dadi is the one who commands them...) so it's normal that every man wants a part of her. This puts Rey in a crazy rage, but Pranati stops him.
Pranati is at his worst, Vardhan's words hurt her so she starts to cry when she looks at Rey.
These are my favourite parts.
Rey finally accepts that he was wrong. He lists everything he has done. He says that he ruined a girl's life, that he was too cowardly to accept the fact that he was going to be a father and that he ran away from the fact that because of him Pranati was forced to hear insults every day and that his child suffered as a result. We can see all the moments when he made a mistake. It's not easy for him. He looks at Pranati and repeats that "yes, I was wrong" and he repeats this to Vardhan.
❤️❤️❤️
Vardhan, who is still in his world, asks him if he is crazy. Rey who was already very angry throws an object at him and then Dadi, Armaan and Maan arrive.
Rey is ready to hit Vardhan, Dadi sends the other two brothers to separate them. Rey doesn't want to be calmed down, Pranati watches the scene from a distance. Dadi comes to stop them.
Rey shouts to Dadi that Vardhan is the culprit and that Pranati was right! Dadi asks him if he has lost his head, but Rey doesn't give up, so Dadi asks Vardhan if it's true, as he doesn't answer, she slaps him and tells him that this kind of thing is not tolerated in her house!
Dadi is very angry and ends up attacking Pranati, once again reminding him that she is not a saint, that it takes two hands to do bravo. Pranati reminds her that her way of thinking is very small, especially since she is a woman, that she thought she was strong, but no, she tells her that if a man decides to attack a woman it's the woman's fault, that if a woman decides to love a man then it's also the woman's fault. That in the society where they live that men have rights and that she sees this in her family. But reminds her that if they insult her for her situation what do they say about a woman who sells alcohol?
Dadi gets angry and asks her to shut up and she was going to slap her, but Rey stops her.
During the whole conversation Rey was in the middle of them, we could see in this scene the obvious sign, no matter what the situation is, it will always be between his two wives?
This always will be the case. He might not go ahead and knowingly commit a mistake like the rest in the future, but they'll remain his family and he constantly, everyday and in everything will have to choose. Every choice will matter in the journey that he has just begun. At this point, he is his own teacher and his choices both good or bad from the past and in the present will lead the way.
The police arrive to arrest Vardhan.
Vardhan starts to get scared, Dadi asks the police what they are doing at her house so late. Rey looks at Pranati in shock.
Pranati says that she is the one who called them because she has evidence against Vardhan. She plays the recording. Rey tells the police that his big brother Vardhan Kharana is guilty so they arrest him. Vardhan thought that Rey was going to speak up for him, but when he understood things, he started asking Dadi for help.
Meanwhile in the background Armaan is sweating (I liked to see him like that too much, he must know that nothing in life goes unpunished !!).
I missed this, will go and rewatch. Was too focused on the frontline for once 😆
The scene that pissed me off the most !!
Archit arrives and Rey who sees him looks at Pranati.
Archit enters the house and Rey goes towards him, but he sees the badge on him stops. Archit says that in this house Rey's "ex-girlfriend" has been attacked by his big brother Vardhan. Archit goes towards Vardhan, but Vardhan is arrested by the police, other journalists go towards Dadi to ask her what she thinks about the fact that "his daughter-in-law" has been attacked by a man from her family. Rey goes to protect Dadi.
Archit comes to Dadi and tells him that the women in his house are not protected.
// Here in this scene we have two paradoxes.
1: Archit calls Pranati "ex-girlfriend" while others call her "daughter-in-law".
2: On the other Archit indirectly raises the case of his sister by talking about "respect for women".
1. He is never going to accept her as the Khuranna bahu, even after it happens. There is a scene of him post Prayansh engagement where he clearly says that He'll not let Prani accept Rey that easily. He has been a good guy thus far, I'll always love his character for that but the storm is bound to come at some point. In my perspective, today's event marks the beginning of the bigger storms to come. And what set this into action is Rey's interaction yesterday. Yesterday's dangling incident is the first time Rey corners him without direct involvement of Prani or Jugnu in the matter. Whatever happened has given him a hint about Rey's direction, so now we will be getting to see more of Chit's unwarranted interference. But one thing to his credit, like someone earlier pointed out, he cleared Prani's name in the same way it was framed.
2. Agreed. One place where both Prani & Chit have always been 'perspective wise' wrong is the Navya issue. Both of them made sure that they got the Navya drama tangled with their own ongoing drama to try and manipulate each other. They never saw it as an independent issue, Chit used the PraChit drama to try and manipulate Prani in the Navya case and Prani used the PraChit case to make him step back from the Navya drama. I'm sorry to tell, but Prani began this whole bringing Navya up to push Chit away from their drama. Chit is clearly wrong in hanging on behind her and trying to get a hold despite her telling him time and again that she's a friend. Prani's fault is that she broke up their engagement again after the courtroom drama without a proper explanation, the least the guy deserved was knowing why she did what she did, but Prani had this whole 'I want Chit to hate me' agenda which has now come back to bite her.
Then, Archit's look was too satisfying for my taste when he looked at Rey. I don't want to let my irritation get the better of me and not be objective, but Archit acted on his own initiative. He absolutely wants to score points. He says indirectly, "I can help Pranati on a different level than you" to Rey. //
Set off by yesterday's drama!
Rey asks Dadi to go to his room, when a journalist comes to Pranati to ask her opinion, Rey takes her arm and pulls her towards the stairs.
Angry Pranati asks him what's wrong with him, she hurts herself when she takes her arm out of his hand. She shouts at him why he is acting like this.
Rey asks her why she called the media and why she told Archit, that it's a family affair, there's no need to take him out.
Pranati says that she hasn't called anyone and above all that it's her business... and that she hasn't told Archit that maybe it's Jagnu.
Rey asks her why Jagnu would do this. Moreover why she didn't think that it might affect them but especially Jagnu.
AND THERE ! Pranati says she doesn't care !!
// So what was I saying yesterday? I was saying that she wants justice is normal, but that the fact that the journalists get involved will be a bad thing, especially for Jagnu. That Pranati should think about it, and then I was disappointed by her answer. It has been said from the beginning that Pranati lives only for her daughter, that she only thinks about Jagnu, and here? Her child could suffer, but to raise the true face of the Khurana is more important for her! And how is it her business? She's forgetting one thing, whether she wants to or not, she's connected to the Khurana family, so it's a family affair! //
100% agree with the Jugnu part!
Rey also tells her that she doesn't notice the difference between the old and the new Rey.
// I felt like telling her, we noticed it, breathe, she'll understand it when she's calmer, let's say, if she opens her stubborn eyes ! //
So Pranati says that the importance is to let the world discover the true face of the Khurana. She tells Rey that he has to face the truth and that if he is ready to stand by what is true, he must do so from beginning to end, and then she leaves.
// Here I agree with her, I've been saying it from the beginning and yesterday I made it clear! Rey has to make a choice and it was time for him to make it! But I'm going to say something that might shock! Pranati under his anger has been ungrateful! She didn't notice that even with the recording she could have remained without justice. She must not forget who Rey is! Until now nobody has noticed that even if it's Dadi who leads the family that it's Rey who holds all the cards? If he had decided to tell the policeman to leave and come back to them, I'm 100% sure that the policemen would have left. //
This! Makes me think, never thought about this in this way.
Rey is boxing, he's thinking about Pranati's words, the fact that Dadi asked him to kick her out, then he says that in truth it's the grown-ups who set the example and who should teach the little ones, but that he had no one to teach him and that from today he won't do anything wrong, that he'll face the truth.
Now my opinion.
I watched the episode with sudden clarity. I had no expectations, but I knew that Rey was going to do what I had been feeling for a while. Although he is bipolar, he has always walked straight, he thinks more than you think. He can be a jerk, but he knows that 85% of the things he says or does are wrong, but he does it because no one tells him "stop it's wrong". Today for him is the time and the moment to face his mistakes and to finally decide that it was time to stop everything and to use his knowledge to make the truth prevail.
It's not going to be easy!
We always say it is easier to do evil than good and now we will see Rey in this balance. He's going to do everything he can not to go back to the old Rey, but some things are going to put him to the test.
Dadi won't let him do it, she risks threatening him, but once again I'm going to say it, Rey has strength. Dadi plays on the fact that she is the oldest in the house, but she knows that Rey is not easy to contain, that's why she keeps reminding him that he has to kick Pranati out.
Now let's talk about Pranati, I'm not going to repeat myself, I've already said what I was thinking upstairs. But one thing is certain, she must put water in her wine and open her eyes. It is one thing to be stubborn and another to know how to be objective. Today she wasn't looking for justice, she wanted to settle her scores with the whole family. She mixed everything up and now I'm against it !
Archit, then he might as well make himself small, because he brings us back nothing but problems. Today Rey wasn't as jealous as usual when he saw him. He's just irritable Archit. Rey is right, he likes to come to people's houses too much, he shouldn't forget where he belongs! Pranati has given him the role of "friend" and he takes advantage of this to circle around her like a fly. He is going to become a big problem in the very near future!
Thank you for reading me. 🤗
