I just love this movie not only for its music but how it picturise the institution of marriage beautifully. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

I enjoyed this movie though it has a typical storyline it's not as bad as most the other movies which been made around that time. I don't like what they did with Sunil Shetty character though the same way they did unfair with Salman character in Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam neither of them are bad. The girl side parents been unfair judging guys base on their status and not fit to be apart of their family.

Nah this film actually handled it better than HDDCS in some ways imo.

First thing is they actually gave Anjali’s dad a valid reason to dislike Dev (he was arrogant and angsty) rather than just relatively shallow stuff like race and class 🤷🏽‍♀️

Plus Anjali’s marriage to Ram wasn’t forced, (unlike Nandini in HDDCS who was literally slitting her wrists to get away from marrying Vanraj) she realised her mistake and made a conscious decision not to run away with Dev and to trust her father’s choice instead.

The direction was bad, they made it too melodramatic... but the plot was actually a good deal better than many other movies at the time imo
