Can't hold it in any longer, so here I go. If you haven't watched the episode, please consider this to be a spoiler and don't read!
So we were kinda right that Rey wouldn't confess to Dadi as to why he actually brought Prani back home. It's good to know that he's thinking about handling Dadi rather than being confused about what to do.
I think Vardhan has a slight idea or hint that Rey is lying about this entire Praniti situation. He stuck around for the Rey-Dadi convo to know what was actually going to go down, but as Rey spoke, I somehow felt that Vardhan understood that Rey is not ready to let Prani out of the Zoo or that is he is plain lying about why he brought Prani home.
Dadi, back again to what else she can do to kick Prani out. I'm really interested to see how this Prani-Vardhan drama goes down with her. I also want to see Anisha! Her presence can spice up this track even more, hope they bring her in.
Riya is sucha sweetheart. I love how she's been trying to protect Jugnu from all this circus. We're still not show how she feels about this entire Prani situation, but that girl really cares for Jugnu. I hope it stays that way.
Kesar, again that lady played a very pleasant role in the episode. Very sweet and she actually somehow helped Jugs verbalise her emotions for Praniti.
Maan, though he was doing a favourable thing, I was sort of disappointed with the way he went about talking to Rey. I felt that it wasn't the right situation to pressurise or anger Rey into accepting why Archit bothers him. I get it, they're brothers, he has the right to care about Rey and want the best for him but with the mess that the situation was, Prani unconscious in one room, Rey clearly clueless about what is actually happening or what he should do next, he was already under enough pressure and emotions. What Maan spoke was right, to push Rey in the right direction but the time Maan chose to speak just felt wrong.
Armaan, I clearly don't understand his intentions. What does he want or what is he even thinking in that head of his? I won't even be surprised if he's another Rey in the making. Earlier during the pooja lunch, he was convinced that Rey likes Prani. Now in today's scene with Maan & Rey, first it felt like he knew Rey liked Prani and was basically taunting Rey into accepting that, with how sarcastically he spoke about how it was the past and not the present. But after Rey left, the way he spoke to Maan felt like he thinks otherwise and is on Dadi's side. And I also think that Armaan has a hint about the Maan-Navya situation, the warning that he gave to Maan felt more about the Navya mess than the Rey-Jugs-Prani-Dadi mess.
Archit, still a good man, genuinely cares for Prani's well being. With his dialogue yesterday, we're 100% gonna see him in the Khuranna house soon. But with the way Maan replied to Archit on call, I don't think any one in the Khuranna house is exactly aware about how Archit was also present at the scene except Rey & Vardhan.
Jugnu, my bachi. In the pre-lockdown episodes I genuinely felt bad for her. But in the post-lockdown episodes, I somehow couldn't sympathise with her because of the way she was behaving even though her situation and where she was coming from was understandable. Today I felt really really really bad for Jugs. Today's episode brought out the emotional side of Jugs. We had already seen her emotions out in that post-kidnapping track episodes with Rey and one with Prani. But, today, her emotions not just in general but towards Prani came out. She is like every other child, we always take our mums a bit for granted, don't we? We see a bit of Prani in her but more than that I could see a whole lot of Rey in her. She isn't just a copy paste of Rey on the outer or fun level, she is almost the same as rey internally on an emotional level as well. She literally has her emotions blocked, just like Rey, like just block out anything that has the potential to hurt you. The first 8 years of her life haven't been anything close to easy and you can see that in the way that she has turned out to be. She's been doing what she knows best, keeping out her emotions to survive whatever life throws at her. Even with Praniti, she's been herself and not some mushy kid. Now that I think about it, there actually hasn't been any blunt genuine expression of love from Jugnu to either Rey or Prani until today. Jugs loves Prani, she's scared to lose her. I really wish Prani witnessed this, this is what she's been craving for literally since the day she got pregnant, she fell in love with her child and all she wanted was her child and that child to be happy, safe and secure and to love her back.
Rey, Rey, Rey, hum sabka hero! I'm liking this sensible Rey more than any of his earlier versions. It is very obvious that his maturity/ sensibility comes with him being open to how he feels and not blocking his own thoughts and emotions. As long as he was blocking out his own emotions, he was just angry and hurting himself and also confusing the hell out of us 😆 As understanding he is of everyone else, he has to be understanding of his own feelings & needs, that's the only way it can get better for him. I really loved how he let Jugnu know that Prani was actually sick and how he made Riya understand that kids are more undertsanding that we think. And that shot of him when he sees Jugnu crying on top of Prani, man Kunal was exceptional, it killed me to see Rey soo damn hurt. And that one shot had so many layers. It showed Rey how much Jugs loves Prani, how much he loves & cares for Jugs & Prani. I think it took him back to his own childhood or growing up years when Jugnu explained her stuff to an unconscious Prani & Kesar, something very similar to what Rey himself had gone through. He would've seen himself in her and I think that would've made it very clear to Rey as to how much Jugnu actually needs Praniti in her life and how much she loves her. That should stop him from this entire separating Jugs from Prani agenda. Kunal was exceptional in that scene. Then that whole Maan scene where he was still convincing himself that it doesn't matter to him where Prani goes or with who, the Kumkum flashback and then Armaan taunting him that it was the past, Rey's anger building up and finally bursting out on those two. Kunal again was fab!!! The set of scenes with him being very worried about Praniti when the doc says that they'll have to wait until morning to know what happens. And when he wanted to take her to the hospital for better observation and when he realised the consequences it'd bring, he wanted to protect Prani from all that tamasha. He din't need a nurse but wanted to make sure shee was alright all by himself. He really really cares for her man! And the last set of scenes with the room decorated with scented candles that Prani likes. Rey seemes genuinely happy for a moment until he saw the message, cue the flashbacks and OH MY GOD!, him finally accepting that it hurts him to see Archit and Prani together but he would accept Prani's choices. Rey is a gone case now in terms of Prani.
And one thing struck out, that 'if you every truly loved me, stop it' wala scene has been the first biggest trigger towards him accepting his feelings. I think that it was the day when it hit him on his face for the first time. He actually stopped when she said that, meaning somewhere deep down he had it all along within him.
Riva & Kunal, outstanding performances!! I really felt bad for Jugnu and teared up a bit for Rey. I think that this is the calm episode that all of us needed. I hope the rest of this week is an unexpected joy ride as usual!
