Oops! Really? I had no intention of making Ashu like the one in show. Not sure what gave you that impression?
That said, this fic is not about Ashu and Nidhi. Whatever you read about Ashu has been through other people’s POVs and not his own. He’s not a main character and therefore not fleshed out as well as say, Sara and Ryan or even Nidhi for that matter since we have POV chapters from Nidhi but not Ashu. That maybe why you feel that way, but let me assure you this Ashu is very much the same as in LIL.
He’s very open and willing to admit his mistakes, no? He puts his foot in his mouth a few times, but can admit it. That’s because he’s still taking baby steps as far as his relationship with Sara goes, but with Jai and Shekhar he has managed to bond immediately. And that is more because of Sara’s issues, not Ashu’s. When Ryan told him how Sara felt, he was accepting of it and wants to desperately bond with her, even willing to take a younger man’s advice on how to do that. Now that he knows what’s bothering her, maybe his attitude will change a bit. We’ll see.
Again, let me remind you this story is not about Ashu and Nidhi, so you will probably only see glimpses of their characters, as opposed to LIL which was only about them. Hope that makes things a bit clearer!
