I think the baby jaap is getting on everyone's nerves now. I wonder if it would have come across better if it was interspersed with other things. The last episode it seemed like it was all we've been hearing.

Yeah, still hoping they'll show something to make this urgency believable but I'm beginning to learn not to expect too much. You don't give up a lot of chances to comment on Sha's good looks 😆. Knowing about freezing eggs is a little too much to expect 😊, although not a bad idea to spread general knowledge among audience. But I guess that's not the goal.Goal is drama and more drama with max emotional scenes reserved for leads (not complaining too much, though I wish they would let them be happy for more than 2 episodes at a time).

Yes you're not alone, a lot of us complain, criticize, and still watch for MishBir 😃.

1. I understand that the demographic this show is aimed at does not understand freezing eggs. I also understand that this demographic can be very regressive and misogynistic and prefers girls to compromise, adjust and be flexible in life in general (and thanks to Netflix even the BBC knows that reality now). Isn't that why the FL in this show has compromised her entire life until her husband who promised to spoil her and let her be as stubborn as she wanted to, came along.

However, SP are far reaching and nayi soch shouldn't be just in name. It should show that a lead couple can be as philanthropic as Bill and Melinda Gates. However, again restrictions come into play and all we have is an NGO that cannot go to the level of the Gates Foundation because well Champaner ke school se bhi aage ki duniya hai. Rajkot ke bahaar bhi duniya hai. Heck even BFF's wife has her dancing. However, considering who they are competing with this will never happen and we will have to endure such tracks. i feel for the writers, really I do.

2. Arrey he said it himself; he asked her if she didn't want him to pass on to their babies; "kitne amazing babies honge hamare, mere good looks aur meri akal" He said this.

Please, if you think Abir S2 is Sha's best look , you have to see Dev Dixit post leap S1 and Dev Dixit S2. That is his best look. I also like Abir S1. Also this is coming from a girl jisne itne hot Arjun ke chakkar mein bahut MB books padh li. Especially Yagyaseni, Palace of illusions and Arjun - the pandav warrior prince. I mean I love LOVE the original MB but the new MB had a waaaaaay hotter Arjun and Arjun is my 2nd most fav MB character. He Mara Kanhaji, look how I have to explain myself on this forum.

3. Good looks walla is a FAB actor though; i watched his face and his expressions and his voice modulation in that scene with Mishti. UFF such underrated skills.

Oh I've seen all Sha's shows too. He caught my eye in Mahabharat and then I watched KRP (agree about Dev post leap looks and S2 looks) and Navya too. Finally found my way to this show late last year.

Like I said, I feel for them. it must be hard being asked to restrict your creativity to a demographic that has a small world; that thinks a woman's life is restricted to the kitchen and to babies; that believes that educated, strong-willed, opinionated girls are rude, stubborn and like to argue. Must be difficult to know what you have the potential to write and create with such a fantastic ensemble cast and then have to write such a track. I just watched a sometimes reality/sometimes fictional glossy but not too frivolous or too sombre autobiographical docuseries on Netflix this weekend and thought what a celebration of two fiercely independent women who succeed despite life's challenges. I mean yes it was high society and not at all from the world of the demographic that Star Plus garners its TRPs from BUT imagine what Netflix's funds and freedom would have done for characters like Abir and Mishti. Then again is Netflix even the platform for such characters? Is Netflix for a different demographic? Is India country where these two demographics exist but are not watched by the same people? So many Qs.

2. I have to admit though, his good looks deserve their own fanclub. Oh wait, it already exists!!!A separate one for his eyes, please, tho!!

I need to thank him really, it was because of his Arjun that i read so many books on MB and perhaps learnt more about Hindu mythology.

I KNEW IT! From Meenu’s expression when Parul said how BenBa accepted her husband’s 2nd wife and child, I could see Meenu’s twisted mind working, if she can accept then why wouldn’t Mishti accept Abir’s 2nd marriage and child 😆

What does Meenu plan to do? Drug Abir and force him to get remarried? 😆

He was pretty young in Navya. They romance in college and both are kind of traditional. It's nice in a way, and he's a feminist in love with his wife there as well. But not much of a comparison to Dev/Arjun/Abir. The "villains" are a little nuts (IMO) and the kind of things they think will result in the marriage breaking will have you wondering at their intelligence. Try a few episodes here and there to see if you like it. I haven't really watched all the episodes before the wedding though.

Expected set of scenes...

It would be too much to expect a show that would allow for a mature handling of issues that are medically complex and impact life in unique and unexpected ways.

I try not to have any such expectations.

In the early part of the original show, Akshara and Varsha’s friendship was shown as genuine. It seems like over time the story has become more convoluted with jealousy like human behaviours blown out of proportion. It would have been nice to show how these types of behaviours can be handled with kindness, good thoughtful guidance...
