actually I like my profession...its just that things get overboard sometimes...but i am habitual to it now😆

writing as a profession I considered but then....I have a lot to learn for becoming a professional writer....I may posses idea but not skillful writer...and I fear that once you take your passion professionally it doesnt remain the same....anyways....abhi toh naukri se rozi roti chal rahi hai....office hi maai baap hai😆

Part 21

Mickey went to Neil’s room. “I want to talk about something important.” He said. “Yes, tell me.” Neil replied. “Where is Mini?” Mickey asked scanning the whole room.“Why are you asking? You still don’t trust her….See…stop this nonsense…” Neil begin but Mickey clarified, “Arre, I was just asking about her. Havent seen her since morning.”

“I am here. Neil told me that you two had a fight yesterday and you were upset. So I was making your favourite dish for the lunch.” Mini said as she came there with servants holding lunch tray. Mickey smiled at her and waited till everyone was settled. “You wanted to say something.” Neil asked. “Yes, Naeem bi called me. After continuous attacks and counter attacks and Anna, Dhawan already dead the remaining of the idiots Patnaik, Ismail has again asked Naeem bi to call for peace treaty.” Mickey informed. “’Huh! Peace treaty, what a joke? They didn’t keep their promise of peace treaty for even one day last time. The truth is that they are scared. Two idiots already died, Lala has already made deal with us now only Patnaik and Ismail left. They are scared for their life that’s why all this drama of peace treaty.” Neil replied.

“I know…Naeem bi also understands this that’s why she is not pressurizing you. She just asked you to consider it once and then take any decision.” Mickey informed further. “Ok, say yes to Naeem bi. Lets see what they have to say this time.”Neil agreed. “The meeting will take place at Lala’s pub tomorrow evening.” Mickey told him and looked at Mini. He noticed how her expression changed but she managed to hide them quickly.

Next day as per the plan Mickey brought Neil to Lala’s pub. Neil was about to enter inside when Mickey stopped him. “Meeting is not scheduled for today.” He informed. “What? But you only told me yesterday about this time and place.” Neil asked. “I lied.” Mickey said. “But why?” Neil asked him in confusion.“ That you will get to know in sometime.” Mickey said and took Neil in the building located opposite of that pub. They stayed hidden there and Mickey asked him to wait for sometime. As he expected soon police came there and raided the Lala’s pub.

“Now you believe me? See, I have given you proof today.” Mickey pointed his finger towards policemen. “What do you mean? You knew police will come here?” Neil asked as his heart started beating fast inside his chest fearing what would Mickey will say now. “Don’t pretend Neil, as if you don’t understand anything. I lied to you purposely in front of Mini about the time and place of meeting because I knew she will pass the information to the police. And I was right. See, police have raided the place around the same time. Now there is no scope of confusion. This time only three of us knew about this fake meeting. There is no possibility that the information could have been leaked by any other person.”Mickey explained.

“NO, this cant be true…..I don’t believe you.” Neil said as he turned to the other side to avoid looking into Mickey’s eyes. “Don’t be stupid Neil. You saw it with your own eyes now and even if there is 1% doubt left in your mind then see this.” Mickey said and showed him a photo in his mobile. Neil’s eyes went wide with shock seeing the photo. It was junior inspector Preet’s photo in police uniform in the police station. “She is an inspector in police. One of my men followed Mini and her and came to know about their little disguise game. Isnt she the one whom you met as a gynaec in city hospital? Mini goes to see her on the pretext of routine check ups whenever there is some important information.Today morning also didn’t she went to the hospital? Now you believe me or you still prefer to turn a blind eye towards her betrayal?” Mickey asked. Neil closed his eyes as he didn’t know what to do? His mind went blank for sometime and when he opened his eyes they were blazing with fire….threatening to burn everything on its way.

Neil rushed towards the car and drove it in full speed back to his mansion. Mickey followed him in another car. He had never seen Neil in so much anger. He knew Neil was hurt by Mini’s betrayal and he can do anything…even self harm. They reached their house and Neil marched towards his room followed by Mickey. Mini was standing in front of dressing table. She had just came out of the bathroom finishing her shower. Now she was drying her hair. She saw Neil in the mirror and turned to hug him.

“Neil,you are back early? Good, I was missing you.” Mini said in his ear when she hugged him. Neil again took a deep breath to control his anger. “You were missing me or praying for my death today?” Neil asked as he grabbed her hair in his fist and pulled her away from himself with jerk. “Neil what are you saying?” Mini said as she felt the pain and struggled to free herself. “How could you?How could you do this me…tell me damn it!” Neil shouted. Till then Mickey also came there. “What…what did I do…what are you saying?” Mini stammered now.

“Say the truth Mini. Now no use of lying. We know everything about you. You were helping police. Isha was right. You are also a police informer.” Mickey said and showed her Preet’s photo and also told her how he lied about meeting yesterday in front of her. Mini was stunned for sometime as she didn’t expect that her truth will come out so easily. She should have been more careful. She closed her eyes in defeat as she knew she cant come out of it now. She saw Neil. He looked livid but broken. His every heartbeat was screaming at her for being a traitor. She felt her own eyes become moist unable to bear his heart broken state.

“I…am…sorry Neil…I..” Mini tried to say between the sobs but Neil didn’t let her complete as he pinned her to the nearby wall and pointed gun at her temple while holding her from her neck. “Shut up! Just shut up…how could you do this to me….you promised…swear by our love that you will stand by my side always…then how dare you to break that promise? When you faked your death..I was half dead….just living to avenge you and kill all those who were responsible for our baby’s death…for your death….but when I found you back I thought I got back my life….I didn’t know that you have come back with the intention to kill me fully. You broke my trust….” Neil cried out.

“Sorry, I didn’t have any other choice. I was living by a fake identity. I thought I would start a new life away from you but in all those years I couldnt get over you…I couldn’t forget whatever happened between us….I hated you so much that there was no place for any other emotion in my heart…I was burning inside…I wanted revenge…revenge for my baby that’s why I agreed to be police’s informer but when I came back here I realized that hatred was just another form of love….I have always loved you and I still love you but you will not change your ways ever…..and I cant live with you like this....all this will only end at our death…I had made a deal will police…that only I will kill you…after killing you I would have ended my life too…but….” Mini tried to explain but Neil made his hold tighter on her neck due to which she coughed.

“Stop your nonsense. You are a liar. You never loved me….If you have loved me then you would have known that I would have died any day for you….any day…just for your happiness…ek bar keh diya hota bas….lekin tumne mujhe dhoka diya….you decided to murder my trust and love mercilessly…I would have forgiven you if you had sided with any of my enemy…but you sided with police…that police who is responsible for my family’s death…who never gave me justice…who made me what I am today…you destroyed everything Mini….” Neil cried again.

“Neil…listen to me…” Mini again tried to say something but Neil again pointed his gun on her. “NO, you listen to me…..what you did….your death also can never heal my wounds but….I don’t want to see your face ever again in my life….I don’t want you to walk on this same earth on which I am walking…No matter how much want to kill you mercilessly…torturing the hell out of you…but my heart….this treacherous heart still beats for you….it will not be able to see you in pain…so…it will be a quick death for you...” Neil unlocked the gun and kept his finger on the trigger gradually increasing the pressure on it.

“No…Neil…listen to me once…its important please….you have to know this…” Mini pleaded again. “Neil, don’t listen to her. She will fool you with another of her sob story…just kill her and get it over with.” Mickey said as he looked at Mini with hatred. “I loved you….I loved you with every fibre of my body…with every heart beat….goodbye…jaan.” Neil said and was about to press the trigger when Mini almost shouted. “I am pregnant Neil….I am pregnant with your child…you are going to be a father again.”

For Neil everything came to standstill for few seconds as he processed Mini’s words. His grip on his gun became lose and it ultimately fell down from his hands. “What…what did you say?” Neil stammered. “I am pregnant Neil. Our baby is growing inside me. Don’t kill me….at least not now or else you will kill our baby.” Mini said as she placed his hand on her stomach and pleaded for their baby’s life.

“She is lying. Don’t trust her Neil. She is lying to save her life.” Mickey said with gritted teeth. Neil looked at Mickey to consider the possibility what he just said. “No, I am not lying Neil….Its true…get a doctor to check me if you want but its true…I am pregnant. I am not saying this to save my life…I only want to save our baby’s life….please…we lost him once…don’t do anything that you’ll lose him again…let me give birth to this baby…you can kill me after that if you want….let me see my baby’s face for once.” Mini begged again. Neil believed what she said. He looked into her eyes.Those eyes cannot lie about their baby. She must have plotted and planned against him but she could never put their baby’s life in danger.

“Neil, don’t be a fool. Don’t melt by her crocodile tears. Because of her betrayal we lost our many men, incure heavy losses. She was my friend also but what she did to us…she deserve to die. Kill her…KILL HER.” Mickey almost shouted. “And kill my baby with her also? NO WAY! I will not kill my baby.” Neil shouted back. “Mickey seethed in anger, “The woman who can betray you cant be trusted….even if she is pregnant, how can you be so sure that its your baby…she could have slept with someone else and….” Mickey couldn’t complete the whole sentence as he felt a strong blow on his right cheek and fell down on the floor. For few seconds he was too shocked to react. Then he looked up in disbelief at Neil. “You slapped me? You slapped me for this woman…this characterless….” He was again interrupted as Neil held him by collar and said threateningly, “Don’t utter any other word against her character….she might have betrayed me by leaking information to the police but physically…emotionally…she was and is always loyal to me. If she is saying that she is pregnant then there is no doubt that I am the father of her child and in no f***king way I am going to kill my own baby.” Neil said each and every word slowly to make everything clear to Mickey.

Mini looked at Neil in gratitude. She cant believe after what she did to him, he still believed her and didn’t question her dignity. “Thanks… Neil..for…” Mini tried to say but Neil gestured her to stop. “I don’t want to listen anything. My love for you has died. I haven’t done anything for you…just looking after my baby and her mother. My jaan died the day she agreed to help police now its just Mini in front of me….you will live here in that capacity only…You will not go outside anywhere without my permission. Doctor will come here to check up.Everything will be arranged here only. My men will keep watch on you. I am warning you…you dare pull any stunt which will endanger my baby’s life. I’ll kill you… Mini.” Neil warned. Mini closed her eyes as she felt something hit her hard in the heart. She felt the pain…Hearing her name from his mouth…her actual name Mini not ‘jaan’…it had the same effect like that of a bullet fired straight into her heart.
