I think its was when Omair sir's wife asked me to handle uploads for his ramazan show that made me less active here uiske bard tow phir couldn't get myself up n come here

Actually it came as a surprise that omair sir too were in orungreza tow phir tow dekhna banta tha na

But i so wish meena married wajih wish he has proposed her.

I remember i watched omair sir ka adhuri kahani drama

It waa ditto copy of hindi movie BASERA

Yahan baas iffat ki bahin desperate thi to marry her sisters husband

Gosh i hated tht show n i hated omair sir ka character

And he knows i hate him i told him right away on instagram i hate Asad

Even now I apologized him for the aamir khan fiasko it was me who shared the tweet and omair sir reshared it..

he told me with a smiley that it was fine i shouldnt worry at all

It's not right, and it's absolutely not fair, but I can believe that the woman reacted this way to a family of divorces. Divorce is only newly accepted socially, and even then, there'll be one divorced cousin or aunt in the family- it's unheard of that all the female relatives in a family will have been divorced. And in the socio-economic background that they've shown these characters from being it would totally make a small-minded woman wonder what the defect with the family was and whether a girl raised in such an environment would be able to make a marriage work. I don't think the author was commenting on the characters themselves, but about society for not understanding the position a woman would be in on divorce and how they fight to recover from it, because it's easy to just think that it was their fault and there's something wrong with them.

They weren't mourning their marriages, per se, but apart from dadi, their circumstances weren't that clear cut- so I think it's valid that they may have regrets and what ifs, even though they've got on with their lives.

Agreed. I am aware of the the socio economic situation , but at least on tv they must show it as progressive. Like shiri must have given it back to those ladies then and there , instead of feeling sad about the whole thing ..I mean she can feel sad but at least confront ppl where its needed.. vaise she argues wth every single person she comes across. We just dont get over these prejudices and stigmas dont we.

From what I understood the three ladies had diff reasons for divorce ? Aunt was too committed and accommodating , but still her husband left her . Dadi was also very compromising but her husband left her . Shiri was too dominating.

It was a good epi overall..the hero and heroine r good..so r the supporting characters. Pretty enjoyable

Abhi it's been two episodes, so maybe I'm willing to give them a chance to see whether they're going to show the same regressive stuff as always. We shall see if they manage to disappoint me, lol. I think Shirin didn't respond because even though she's put on a tough face and is confrontational, I think this is a sore spot for her really and inside it's still a wound on her soul. I think she was also surprised by the reaction because she thought the rishta people knew the background and still came, so she didn't have time to react.

Nani was divorced because nana was in love with a dancer/actress who demanded he leave his first wife and girls- even though nani was willing to compromise and be his wife only on paper. Shirin was too dominating and emasculated her husband until he couldn't deal with it anymore- and from what we've seen so far in the flashbacks- I don't entirely blame him. With the aunt- I think her husband couldn't deal with the emotional turbulence and all her doom, gloom and tragedy- and again ideally you'd go to therapy for something like that but I don't blame her husband for not wanting to stay married to her either.
