Nopes...she was punished becos she allowed cheel clan into the temple that cause every naag-naagins lives and also naagmani was almost to be stolen by cheel clan she was punished for neglecting her duties and responsibilities of being aadhi naagin

yup i agree,aakesh came to the temple not with the intention to steal the naagmani he was not interested in that he was just being a obedient son listening to his father orders he was more focus on naageshwari he loves and wants her but the approach he took was wrong, aakesh even told nageshwari that if she becomes his he will spare everyones lives

he is not a negative villain he is grey shaded and nageshwari light would have changed him but due to his wrong and impulsive behaviour he was killed by his love
