You are comparing people being taken to concentration camps, to one psycho throwing some idols? One is a human attack attack ffs. Nvm.Originally posted by: Nahiiinnn
If Secular Indians talking about whats happening in Islamic countries is laughable, why is everyone concerned about whats happening to Uyghur Muslims in an Atheist country China. Islamic countries treat their minorities worse than anyone else but are absolved of any blame cos they are Islamic state.
I have grown up a Hindu in an islamic country and they've only been accepting to the loud bhajan sounds from temples. There's an entire street to buy pooja supplies leading to a massive krishna temples there. We aren't treated badly is all i know.

Seedha arrest toh kaali India mein hota hai. I.e. Bangalore lol I’m glad your experience has been a positive one.👍🏼This reminds me of a meme I saw. If you’re white, you’re considered an ‘expat’ but if you’re brown, you’re an immigrant.😆
The passport thing is more a personal thing as opposed to the power of the passport. If I was born and raised in Germany but had an Algerian passport, I would feel a bit strange.
I’m not advocating mocking another religion in the process but by all means, they have a right to feel outrage at their own religion and Gods being dished out such pathetic treatment.
Ahh I found the airport was so old school. In need of a major refurb. Barely any good places to eat. Even the Chili’s was shut. Even Bombay’s domestic airport is miles better. Also without being condescending, some of the people there are low skilled workers flying back home so you get to see people on airport chairs lying down with their chappals and bare feet on the seats. Not a pretty sight.
Well atleast where I lived, we were all considered expats :) my mom who worked for an American establishment in bahrain received so much love from the locals who worked there and faced racism only from the whites who worked there.
Yes I agree w the passport thing. But I barely see indians growing up in the middle east wanting a middle eastern passport. Its just alot more checking if you're travelling to Europe.
The Indian passport works better in comparison.
Yes, that also i agree with. If the outrage was restricted to just being offended at their idols being thrown off the stand. But in the process mocking Islam and a country because its Islamic is just not done. I have grown up there seeing how openly we are allowed to practice our faith. There are even temples in certain compounds and the pooja music is SO loud. But the locals never complain. These people who barely know what bahrain is like are trashing the entire country based on this incident which I won't stand for. I cant be that NRI that insults the place that gave me and my family everything that I have today. I mean NOBODY is forcing you to stay there, if people hate it, they can leave back to India.
Ohhh yes, that's not a pretty sight but that's mostly indians/pakistanis/Bangladeshis. The chilis is shut most of the time, it's very annoying. But I usually just buy mcd when I'm traveling 😆 Did you take gulf air? HATE their lunch. I always eat my mcd on the flight hahaha. Once the steward even came and told me 'Mcd isn't healthy, pls don't eat it.'

"Twitter Indians crying about religious intolerance in an Islamic country is too funny."
No, you said Indians talking bout whats happening bout Islamic countries is laughable. That encompasses all Islamic countries and their atrocities. I wasn't talking about just this incident. But most of the time lot of things has been brushed under the carpet by the reasoning that it happened in Islamic state.
And I stand by what I said. Tomorrow if an islamic country put hindus in detention centers just for being hindu, I'll join the outrage.Originally posted by: Nahiiinnn

Until then, we can't talk about religious intolerance and insult other countries.
First clean the mess in our own courtyard before cleaning the neighbours.
ETA- I'm talking about this incident specifically and nothing else. The country is question here is Bahrain and I can speak for that alone. Not anything that happens in Saudi. Worse things happen there and im glad I never lived there.

Do you know the percentage decrease of Hindus in Pakistan from 1947 to now? Have you heard the horrors of minority Hindu girls being abducted, forced to convert n marry locals there? Guess its time to educate yourself. Why can't we talk about any other countries while we talk about India too? We talk about Uyghurs Muslims too , n don't stay quiet becos they are Muslims.
