I havent been to IF for like 4 years but Ishqiya made me do it. Wanted to rant somewhere 😆

I have watched these Paki dramas in my life.

1. Aun Zara

2. Humsafar

3. Zindagi Gulzar hai

4. Diyar e dil.

5. Yakeen ka safar

6. Yeh dil mera

7. Pyaar ke sadkay

8. Ishqiya

9. Suno Chanda

And some random shows here and there when they aired on Zindagi.

The premise of all these shows is Majorly romance and drama but I am yet to see PASSIONATE romance till now. By passionate I nowhere mean Intimate, I mean pagalpan wala passion. That junoon where the leads are so crazy for each other that they are ready to kill anyone 😆

I was heavily invested in RumZa till the second last episode. I actually expected Rumi to forgive Hamza after he goes berserk trying to apologize to her and we get a passionate union of these two. What did I get in return? Pagal Hamza and indifferent Rumi 😳🤢 LIKE WTF WAS THAT? First of all I never understood when Rumi fell in love with Hamza? Does marriage between two people who have never seen each other before automatically mean that next day they should fall in love and consummate also? 😆 Because Rumi had started declaring her undying love for Hamza on the second day of marriage when she fought with some random girls on road 😆 Kuchh toh development dikhate before this. And chalo, Rumi fell in love also, then what happened to that love suddenly? It's not like Hamza took his revenge by leaving a pregnant Rumi for crying and after realizing his mistake went back to her. In that case I would have been with Rumi and left Hamza to become a pagal 😆 Yahaan toh the guy genuinely fell in love with her and started apologising after keeping her nothing but happy. Even his family was so so good.

I genuinely felt more passion between Hamza and Hamna 's love initially because atleast when Hamza got into an accident, Hamna used to secretly pray for his well being and try to visit him in hospital. Lol. She was a coward but atleast her love was SHOWN and PORTRAYED by the makers much better than they showed married couple Rumza's love.

While I agree that Pak dramas are way ahead of Indian shows in terms of content and writing (given their limited episode feature), I feel that the only place they lack is in portraying passion and junoon between the leads. Now I would like to know if this is due to some cultural limitation where passion and intensity is considered bad in Pak or just the writing, because any couple that portrays that, they do not end up together 😆

I remember watching this Indian show Madhubala. In that the leads are in revenge marriage. The hero RK takes his revenge from Madhu and leaves her on mandap. The heroine still doesn't hate him immediately. Only after he becomes a psycho for her, she starts hating. But what happened after that? Does she take her revenge? Nope. Because she was madly and passionately in love with him. While some people called her a doormat, I believe that when you love someone with pagalpan, you don't care. Again, cheating is a totally different thing, which can't be forgiven at any cost. Apart from that, if your other half is genuinely sorry and is begging you for forgiveness and if at one point you have loved him with JUNOON, then why can't you forgive him? 🤔 Now people bring in the argument of what will you do if this happens with you. Arrey bhai, in real life this shit of revenge marriage doesn't even happen 😆 If the premise is total fiction, then ending bhi fictional do na. In real life the guy like Hamza would have either moved on or threw acid on Hamna. Woh uski behen se shaadi nahi karta 😆

I didnt understand Aina also in YDM. Amaan had suffered much more than her since his childhood. Usko console karne ke bajaye, and saying sorry on behalf of AghaJaan, she was showing attitude to him when he came everyday to apologize to her towards the end 😵😆 Why do these writers get carried away in the name of feminism? Har cheez mein ghusa dete hain. 😆

Heroines should punish those heroes who are either abusive, manipulative or cheaters. Ya phir when the couple has no connection. Baaki instances mein I dont understand how these writers come up with such ends 🤓

Also, pls suggest some good Paki show where leads end up together and are passionate about each other 😆 The only shows where I felt satisfied with the end where YKS and PKS. Mahjabeen bahut zyada jaldi maan gayi wahaan. But she was atleast in her character there unlike Rumi 😆

Ok rant over.

Ah ! Look who I found 🤗

I know I will.find all madhubala maniacs here 🤣 Compare this guy humza to rk and people will know what blackmail and revenge actually means. Although they dumbed down rk but the usp of that show was passion and junoon which the leads had for each other.. I started watching ishquia for the same reason. Passionate characters. Love as the background.

I have the same questions as you do. Go ahead post it on social media. I also wanna know what's with their thinking regarding love. Humza is clearly one character who stood out in terms of showing love openly to people he cared for. And showing hatred also. After watching the end(I never saw the last 2 epis but whatever ) rather , knowing the end , humza is the only person I liked in the series. Rumi was ok too but how did her love vanish in 2 mins over a damn past issue ? Humza was never bad to her , even for a moment..N if it affected her this much , why forgive her sister for the mess ? As a matter of fact humza did not harm humna also in anyway. The whole college knows about their affair , kisi aur ko pata lagta toh kya hota ? Her fathers izzat wasnt getting tarnished for 4 yrs in college afterall. It's her habit of not speaking up , which led humza to blackmail her. I mean think of seeking revenge this way😆

Feminism is jaane kya bhoot sawar hai 🤢 I hate this kind of pseudo feminism . At least call out humna for what she did wrong . Nai. She is weak so she is excused. 🤢 Empowered women ko bhi dekho yahan..jalan and mta types. No balance at all.

The kind of track which they developed ,the writers thinking , I feel it was all justified if humza was shown as a stalking lover of humna in college. N humna not giving him any bhaav. She marries , he goes crazy , does crazier things.

In the end ,humna and alishba get away with happy endings while rumi and humza suffered. Bullshit of a story.

I wanna erase it yaa from my memory ,it has damaged me so much. I went on to watch this super cool drama..sun yaara...n I managed to kind of snap out of this depression 😆 It wasnt a passionate romance but hum saath saath hain paki style 🤣 Cool breezy romance , nice characters , supporting family, the hero heroine and hero's sister..amazing people..n hero's family..a1 serial❤️

Dunno how much will you like these shows..but I loved "anaa " ..again..kind of a passionate romance..passionate nai but brooding kinds 😆..altamash izza ..with happy ending..the parallel story also I loved..it starred hania aamir as the lead plus naimal and usman.

Passion love and paki shows dont get along ..I have yet to find love stories here 😆 They ruined " deewangi " otherwise it had potential. Rk style hero ..sultan 😆 u can watch the first 15 epis. Kamaal hai wo banda yaar and he is 10 steps ahead from rk😆

Do watch khaani. ❤️ It's an amazing one sided love story. Feroze ne.kamaaaal kar diya..poor pyar pagalpan hai but futile .

Have you seen kaisi ye yaariyan ? Apna desi mtv 😆 It's a must for romantics ❤️❤️

ditto....Absolute truth..The Pak shows do not know how to portray passionate love. They are an absolute failure in that department.

The drama is a fiction, why the hell they brought reality in ishqiya in the end??All of the previous things they did were not going to happen in real but in the end they went nuts and gave us a shitty ending.

I felt the writer’s main concern was hamna and they just wanted to band bajao of hamza via rumi for blackmailing!!I just couldnt understand why the hell they gave a fall in love wala track for rumza and showed a possessive rumi who couldnt tolerate someone glaring at her hubby, their emotional connection when they had to give this bizarre ending of hamza going crazy and rumi becoming absolute rock towards hamza!!How can love be so shallow that it evaporated in nano seconds for rumi who was shown madly in love with her hubby only the day before revelation!!The writer literally does not know the meaning of love.Hamza stayed true to himself,he became crazy in rumi’s memory, atleast that shows his passionate love for rumi who couldnt tolerate separation from his wife!!But rumi was the surprise package as she not for once remembered their togetherness after leaving him and neither bothered about him losing his sanity!!Like wtf did i just see.I wasted my time watching this show.

@Charu- What's up mate? Long time 😆 This Azeem dude was total Bhai. Reminds me of MB days 😆 Usi ke jaisa boring and usool wala dolphin 😆

Anyway, I started watching Ishqiya only after I came across some amazing Rumza VMs on youtube and liked their chemistry. Show dekha toh I was not much connected to them because Rumi ko pyaar nahi hua tha Hamza se. She was more like ki he is my husband, the guy chosen by my abbu, he is hot and dashing and he is madly in love with me, so even I love him. She never went through that stage of falling in love with him which Hamza went through which is why I feel that it was so easy for her to get over him.

Humna and Azeem on the other hand started off in a bad way. She didnt reciprocate to his advances and later on when the truth was out and he supported her like a rock, she probably fell in love with him. This is what I wanted for Rumza also. I wanted rumi to realise her love for Hamza when he supported her like a rock during her dad's death. Rumi ko jitni speed se pyaar hua, utni hi speed se indifference bhi 😆 last 5 mins mein instead of showing those lame flashbacks and pagal Hamza, they could have just shown him dropping by to check up on Rumi in her school while going to office and she being civil to him. YDM jaise open end de dete to satisfy us ki chalo kuchh ummeed hai😆

The problem I find with Paki shows is that they show feminism only during "love". Otherwise they rarely show women continuing with their professions after marriage. Like in Suno chanda, Jiya wants to go abroad for studies, par shadi kara di. In YDM, Aina works before marriage but later on just sitting at home. Kashaf and Rumi ko chhodke no heroine works after marriage. In aspects mein feminism dikhao na. Bakwas cheezon mein kyun ghusate hain.

And yeh shows dekhke mujhe KHIDMAT word se nafrat ho gayi🤣 Why do all the heroes want their wives to do their khidmat after marriage? Khud seekho apna kaam karna 😆

And haan bachpan se ITV dekhke merko love stories mein passionate love chahiye hota hai. Maybe the makers feel ki passionate love dikhayenge toh inappropriate ho jayega, or maybe they feel that passionate love is either bad or more valuable if unattainable. Jaise that song, "ishq sachcha wahi jisko milti nahi manzile..." 😆😆

Though Hamza and RK are unmatched but atleast both their loves had Junoon. Pagalpan wala pyaar. Humza toh pagal bhi ho gaya. But Rumi can't match Madhu. Because madhu bhi pagal thi. Reminds me of pyaar ki yeh ek kahani where Abhay is a vampire and Piya is so crazily in love with him that she is ready to die for him. He literally has to erase her memories to stop her pagalpan for him😆 Aisa pyar koi Paki show mein dekhna hai from heroines side.

Nahi, I haven't watched kaisi yeh yaariyan. I stopped watching ITV shows after MB ended in 2014. That was my last show. Uske baad I got busy toh kabhi tv dekha hi nahi. Then toh I only watched limited episode shows. English, Korean ya Paki (as they feel close to ITV due to language).

My to watch list has these dramas currently:

1. Ehd e wafa

2. Anaa only for Izza and Altamash (watched so many VMs of these two)

3. Gul e rana

Khaani nahi dekhna merko 😆 Watched VMs of that and sad ending nahi chahiye merko. Will watch Sun Yaara if its good. Sucker for hum sath sath hai 😆

@smithhh - completely agree. The makers failed to portray ishqiya from Rumi's side totally. Poore show mein bas Hamza ne hi ishq kiya 😆 Baaki sabne bas dhoka kiya and dagaa kiya 😆 I will never understand why he got such a harsh punishment. For what? Like what the hell did he even do that everyone including his family left him to get mad 🤓

And ya, it would have been better had they just kept him as a villain rather than making him so lovable towards the end because that makes me so mad at Rumi for no fault of hers. She just lost badly in the battle of love.

@befikre ❤️ Yaar 2014 wali memories ❤️ wapas se taaza ho gayi. I got mb fever again in between , phir se saara dekha..but you must must watch kaisi ye yaariyan , if you haven't, bec that's one series in which you will get the satisfaction of watching "a love story" . Of course it's a happy ending in three seasons but it stayed "happy" throughout . It was the first serial which I saw in which the hero and heroine communicate their problems to each other, and when they dont , the other understands . What self respect is truly , one can know from kyy , and when self respect crosses the line n becomes ego . First serial in which misunderstandings last for not more than 3 epis 😆 junoon , passion itna tha ke kabhi koi aur serial acha hi nai lagega wo dekh ke 😆 but positive wala passion....it's the first serial in which I read reviews like "the show changed me for better , changed my perspective on love "....i dunno if you will like the heroine or not but if u look at thecharacter , she is everything that madhu could have been to become perfect ..itv par aisi heroine milti nai hai....when you listed your fav serials , they matched mine completely 😆 except I haven't seen diyar e dil . Voot in slightly a pain in the neck , if ur interested in watching kyy , pm me once.

And yeah do watch anaa , apart from izza altamash , I loved hania aamir ..the other hero is meh . Izza altamash bhi , it's like a subtle love story between them..upar se kuch nai 😆 But it depends on ones taste..I loved the series..daneen is everything that we wanted rumi to be. But aisa hua nai. Izza altamash ka bhi sad ending planned tha, bec anaa was the name of the serial 😆 but the makers thankfully changed it at the last moment.

..sun yaara ,ignore one set of family, rest is all good for a change. Shadi pe shadi pe shadi 😆 Sabki shadi till the end. Both anaa and sun yaara, it's the undercurrents that we enjoy. That brimming romance , when we know they r in love but they fail to express it properly , instead keep fighting 🤣

I got bored of ehd d wafa . U can try..gul e Rana also doesn't have a happy ending, open ending thi uski ydm jaisi. Deewangi ke first 15 epis dekhkar rk yaad aata hai❤️I wish rk was like sultan.

As for rumi and ishquia , I raised the same points in these 200 pages 😆 when I started watching it , i was interested in knowing what humza does , to take revenge. Rumi and humza yes , except for few scenes they never developed a love story for them. Jaise 2 mins maggi noodles jaisa pyar hua , vaise hi vaporize bhi ho gaya🤢 they cud have shown both of them separated , busy with their lives , but no. 🤢 aashiq has to land up in asylum, jail , mazaar or he commits suicide. I will remember ishquia for that one dialogue of humza "aapne kabhi ishq kiya hai

.marne maarne wala"🤣I love the guy ..compared to these dark heros who we have grown up watching , he was a chooza🤣 except humza all characters turned out to be hypocrites ..humza ki family ko bhi against kar diya. What a horrible end.

Yahan dramas mein , the moment the boy holds the girls hand , means they r in love , and if this scene happens after marriage ,means they have consummated 🤣 bas itna hi passion hai. So I firmly believed that rumi humza consummated before their honeymoon only n humza fell in love also before that..... But he compartmentalized his hatred for humna at the same time. Post honeymoon the whole serial derailed . Kuch bhi dikhaye jaa rahe the. Passion is visible in characters present in every other serial , girls who know the guy doesnt love me , yet peeche padh jaati hai fevicol ke jaise. Like alishba. Therr is another fool in anaa. Evey serial has such characters. Bas inka passion yahi saara dikhta hai not in real love.

the writer was obsessed with the word blackmail and punishment...feminism Kahan aaya when they showed a deeply flawed humna ? . I wanna ask him aisa kya blackmail kiya , what did he want in return ? Nothin . Did he ask for a relationship from her ? Did he wanna sleep with her ? Did he wanna spend time with her ? No. Just to mentally torture her for her betrayal. His funda was like..you kept quiet for our love now keep quiet and continue to suffer .... If humna blurted out the truth to azeem before nikah ye 26 epis hote hi nai. You must watch the iv of writer and director , chamaat maarne ko mann karta hai. The writer said "audience got bored with rumi humza scenes so we stopped showing them" , and "humnas suffering in her silence , there was no need of dialogues " ..itna bolkar I suggested ishquia to my friend , she stopped watching it bec of humnas blank face 🤢

Look at alishba. I have to give it to that girl , revenge AISe liya jaata hai. And rumi believed HER of all the people . Ke humza will always love humna 🤢 she chose to believe alishba and not humza. As per the director , humza was a manipulator so no happy ending for him. He caused abs NO harm to humna or rumi imo...kuch inka bigda toh bataye. Azeem bhai , bhai?🤣 Meri Jung mera pata nai kya 🤣 fizool character.

ahhh how much i would have loved rumi to be daneen..Daneen loved that spineless so passionately who literally didnt worth it but hamza worthed every bit of that passionate love.Daneen’s line “yeh chahe jiske saath bhi rahe lekin rahete toh mere dil main hain.Inke ek ishare pe main apni jaan de doon”❤️..I wanted this line from rumi’s mouth as well. But alas hume kya mila..insaan ke roop main darinda wala bullshit!!🤢

Yeah it hurts more when someone is suffering without harming any damn body.Hamza intended to take revenge but neither he had a solid plan for that nor he had a heart which is needed to take revenge on someone. The word blackmailing is being highlighted like a phobia in the show towards the end.Yaar msgs hi toh dekhane ka threat kiya, hell he didnt even had the intention to show it,just wanted to scare goongi..Ab uske liye itna bara loss??Losing kid wife family and sanity😲..Itna sab kuch toh ek murderer ko bhi jhelna nhi parta hai🤢...

She just lost badly in the battle of love.

yup watch ehd e wafa.I loved every bit of it.Specially Saad’s track as in Ahad’s one. Also loved zara’s track.

Rumi ka ishq tha kya jo seconds main vanish ho jaye usse ishq nhi kahete hell even infatuation lasts longer than rumi’s shallow ishq!!Show ka naam ishqiya kyun rakha agr dekhana blackmailing ke side effects hi tha🤢..

On second thoughts , humna would be forever blank face , humza or no humza in her life. When she got married she was so much of a devdas in love ke she wud never fall for azeem , had humza not prove to be a manipulator with vengeance. Shadi hui tab blank, humza accident tab blank, humza back then also blank, rumi shadi par blank.blackmailing par blank, Humza falling for rumi wahan bhi blank . Bas khula ke papers diya, revenge complete lol
