Khirad was the heroine of humsafar. To me , she is one of the best female characters ever written. If you haven't seen humsafar do watch it. Sorry for gatecrashing this convo - but I have some recommendations😆😊

1) Jackson Heights - Loved it - struggles of NRPs and NRIs in New York - Mehreen Jabbar's a fabulous director and very very under-discussed and underrated - plus all the actors in this show - beyond fantastic!

2) Mere Humdum Mere dost - if you love Farhat Ishtiaq romances - this is the best of her work IMO - what a beautiful script and Adnan Siddiqui and Sanam Jung were such a winning couple - sigh it went unnoticed when it aired - but I love love Haider and Aimaa's scenes - gorgeous chemistry! Also Hareem Farooq is so good in this show as the vamp that I could never like her in positive characters later😳😆

3) Shehrezaat - beautiful, deep, groundbreaking show - Mahira struggles initially, but Falak's transformation is so poignant and unique - it really is something else after episode 14 or so

4) Aunn Zara - IDK why they dont make such fun shows anymore - that was actually my first pak drama, even before ZGH I saw this on zindagi and fell in love with it :)

Daam, Malaal, Durre-Shehwar, even Maat actually - Aamina and Saba are like so brilliant! There was another Adeel-Aamina show which I enjoyed watching - they aired it as Silvatein on zindagi - really good chemistry between the two.

It's a divided opinion. Some arent happy with the end and some are happy too. The makers maybe we aware of the mixed response hence didnt bother. Anyways like I said before if a writer and director are partial towards certain characters then nothing can be done. Their way of looking is different but they are firm in their stance

nope majority is thrashing this ending on twitter and ig..Its only few people liking it,mostly the one who takes drama as a media to give a strong msg.This are fictional characters and they can be twisted and redeemed imo.

Have you seen the something haute review. They have brought up some valid points too. But yes I dont know why all overlook Hamna angle in the whole mess. Mistake is when you undelibertely do something wrong, here Hamna exactly knew Hamza intentions are wrong and her sister was going to suffer in the long run..yet she let it happen

dil kya kare flopped because of geo being greedy and not putting it on youtube so not many people knew about the story, so they never bothered tuning in on tv either. i watched it on cable here since even the episodes that would be uploaded on yt by 3rd party channels were like 240p and it's annoying to watch that on tv

but in general the show was just okay. a lot of scope for feroze-yumna which wasn't really explored, feroz seemed monotone for many episodes. i enjoyed watching it as time-pass but its not something that i would say is a 5/5 100% watch. maybe 2.5/5

it wasnt just the greed that caused it to flop but i felt the story was damn slow just like alif

whatever hamna did is not a mistake.Her silence ruined two lives.Its a gunaah just like they said for hamza.She very well knew what was hamza upto,the marriage was a sham,her sister is never going to accept all this after knowing the truth then why would she let it happen at the first place.She stayed silent for her father’s health,his maan and hamza’s blackmailing?Whom are they kidding?She did ishqiya with her bf for 4 years,wasnt her dad’s maan got hampered then?When you dont have shame in having a relation with a guy for 4 years then why have shame accepting it?Was she only doing time pass with hamza to have a great time in clg?Then why let the guy get serious about you and give him false hopes of marriage?Hamza’s blackmailing?Ok he was talking about showing msgs which would have only revealed her set of lies which she uttered infront of azeem and her abbu,which would have exposed her sanskari beti wala image ..She literally tried to save herself,her dad’s health was a perfect excuse to cover it.Rumi was the ultimate fool to care about that selfish sister who didnt care a bit about her!!She could have led a good life with hamza by getting over this past thingy.
