Its always a celebration whenever we think about this young girl, someone who gave us so many memories to remember, to recollect!

An artist with a rare talent, a soft-spoken girl with a friendly heart with an expression like a soulfully written beautiful poem, her whole life was a sacrifice of her own emotions, her personality, her own ego, and their sublimation in the art that gives joy to millions. A cruel destiny put her lily-white soul on the cross of human emotions and then snatched her away from all of us!

Her portrayal of Anandi became a historical piece of a document! Pratyusha Banerjee, the queen of the small screen in her BV days, stole millions of Fans' hearts!. At one time loyalty was divided between her fans and the other actors' fans! We the Rainbow CC people stuck to Pratyusha throughout even during her hiatus and of course her fantastic comeback! There was something about this young actress that always enamoured me her expressive eyes, her classic smile, her powerhouse performance in every serial she was in, however trashy some might be, and her ability to hold her own and, in most cases, surpass the performances of her much fancied male co-stars!!

Prats proved that in an industry dominated by men and their manipulations, a lady could be an equally potent force to reckon with. She had a seemingly quiet and unassuming demeanor prior to her BV entry, but in front of a camera she was a livewire, and unlike some stars of today, Prats let her on-screen performance, and not off-screen rants, do the talking. She could play the docile exploited girl Anandi and the flamboyant extrovert Sagarika and a wicked Mohini with equal ease. In her debut Balika Vadhu, she outdid even the mighty Dadisa [ as an actress] in every scene.

In her other serials like Sasural Simar Ka and Hum Hai Na, most wouldn't even remember the male lead opposite Pratyusha, so powerful was her performance. Prats' scenes with her bte noire Simar were the highlights of that serial! The difference in performance is palpable!! A flawed serial rescued by a stupendous performance from Pratyusha for a while with her mere presence there!

I think it is all a matter of love; the more you love a memory the stronger and stranger it becomes.

Glad to see Branka, hope Jelena reached safely, these are troubled times, things are just not normal though we pine for it now, six months in constrained circumstances is a big deal and maybe another six months? The other day I read a celebrity ( Amitabh Bachchan, the actor) posting something which meant that 2020 will now become a catch phrase for everything messed up! In future if you have had a bad day and someone asks you how was the day, you say total 2020! This just gives the gist of how traumatic this year has been, pandemic, air crashes, cyclones, floods, explosions, deaths...what next?

Today most Indians fast in reverence to celebrate the mid night birth of Lord Krishna . Tomorrow will be in normal times a day of prayers, celebration and feasting. This year there will be no community celebrations, only festive meals at home. Everything is muted this year.

Have no idea where to start...probably with something that is bugging me for a while...I missed my dear friends BD...feeling so bad about it 😔...We spent weeks in Mom's family house on her island, no PC, WiFi there, even the mobile was off most of the time (looks like my brain was off too) so we had beautiful time at the sea, even those stormy days were beautiful...we returned on Saturday afternoon, and we started to prepare everything for Jelena's travelling to Belgrade...and believe me, organizing that traveling between my two states is truly adventure...today we were all at the end with our nerves because that mini bus was late and finally she started her journey after 3 pm. Now I do not know if I am more tired or anxious to hear that they passed the borders without problems, or eager to hear that she arrived safely at home (that will be in the night)...So, hoping that all of you are fine let me write few words to my dear friend, while holding my ears... Sorrryyy😳

My dear Vibha, the sweet friend of mine ❤️❤️❤️ There is no excuse for this what happened, only that , as my sweet Didi used to say, that I am one soooo ooooollllddd lady, that started to forget that, what she should never forget, a Birthday of her dearest friend...It will never happen again ...😊

Or...maybe that peace and tranquillity of the tourist free island, that lazy summer days and those two girls that had millions of ideas what to do and where to go, drove me insane so I I forgot about Your BD...😲
