Keep putting people who commit suicide on a pedestal. This is what you're helping to create.

Yeah because pehle to ek bhi aisa case nhi hua tha

And suicide k baad the person dying is actually

Job losses and no work. Mumbai is the epicentre of entertainment industry and still the film and tv industry hasn't been able to get back on track with shoots like other cities and regional industries have. Add to that stalling of payments, out of work crew members, spot boys and daily labourers since there's no hope of when shoots will start full fledgedly due to the covid condition in Mumbai which still remains very high. Plus the city in itself is a very expensive city to survive in if you're in an industry where payments come as per the days you worked on a serial/film and there's no fixed income. Also the city is very lonely for outsiders since no one has time to socialize as the industry works at a breakneck speed literally 24*7. All of this adds to a lot of stress which can lead to depression given the time we are living in. These are actors, they still earn a bit better but the crew members are worst hit. Due to covid guidelines, even where shoots have started, the crew has been reduced to half so more job losses. Plus problems with insurances and payments during these times.

Usually in TV industry you get your payment after three months now god only knows how long will that payment take. Extremely difficult time for all in Mumbai, esp the entertainment industry that constitutes a huge part of the city.

That's why calling of all these social media boycotts and systematic trending on IF/other sites pisses me off to no end because the people they are boycotting for have already been paid and in a comfortable position while it is the crew who suffer the most when a film fails. But how to make them understand. They'll probably do when they themselves lose their jobs all of a sudden.

I have been saying this forever....u want to boycott...KJo and Khans and Adi Chopras....ya go ahead and knock urself out boycotting them....because these people have enough money to last their seven generations....BW also provides employment to lakhs of people....who really depend on their income every single day to feed their families and send their kids to school...ya throw out the lakhs who survive because of BW and also the other industries like theaters etc ......yup be smart throw lakhs of poor people out of their jobs.....because of some meanies of BW and think about supporting the highly educated outsiders like Kriti Sanon and others...

It's disappointing to see the "SSR chose to quietly pass away" crowd milk this tragedy to support nepotism. Sorry to hear about this tragedy - Financial duress makes people hopeless in today's materialistic world, where we stay independently and not in joint families.

The outrage is not supposed to take away any jobs, nor will it. In fact, any publicity is good publicity, so these movies may actually gain from it! The purpose of the outrage is simply to create awareness about the nepotistic practices used to manufacture stars, many a times robbing public of genuine talented outsiders. It's to force a conversation on something that is either brushed under the carpet or accepted as perfectly valid. But what do we know. We are dumb vile trolls out to get becharas like KJo.

This is completely unrelated to this topic:

I genuinely feel that the Indian urban unprivileged males - also dismissed as launde lapade - are a misunderstood lot. Furthermore, just like I think Jaggu Dada or Anil Kapoor have a tapori side to them, I too genuinely have an authentic tapori me. And, with all honesty, I'm not the least bit ashamed of it. On the contrary I love the tapori culture (minus chhedkhaani, something I have never succumbed to). 😊 Recently I saw My Fair Lady, and recognized Audrey Hepburn's father and his friends as tapori-like guys 😆
