In the poker round basically you mean that the bet will be the higher number of chips on bet out of the 2 members in the pair. So the member who places a lower bet has just 2 options: either play with higher bet or leave isnt it.

So if we fold once then the option to place the bet remains open for the next round if at all we dont get eliminated or does it close once we fold?

Also the pairs would keep changing every round right?
