Does Niacinamide really works... Is it effective in skincare?
Few years ago I broke out for no rhyme or reason. I have always had clear skin so it was extremely annoying to have to deal with the constant whiteheads in my mid-late 20s. Didn’t have cystic acne though, thank the lord for small mercies. Anyway, the point is I tried everything from the regular anti-acne stuff to niacinamide, vitamin c, hyaluronic acid and what not. None of it worked. In theory, niacinamide should work. But it didn’t for me. What did work for me was kojic acid formulations as face wash and serum. I know East Asians use it to lighten skin. But it worked as an anti-acne and post-acne hyperpigmentation remover, for me. I don’t use anything else other than sunscreen on top. Haven’t had a breakout since the last two years. And my skin has never looked better except when I was a teen, I guess. Thank God. Ain’t nobody got time to deal with that nonsense, these days anyway😆
