Aniruddh was sitting in his study staring at a file with blurry vision, the kind of blurry-ness when you stare at something for too long, mindlessly. He wasn't reading the file. He was in a deep, deep thought. That's when there was a knock at the door that brought him to reality. He looked around and then at the person on the door. His vision was still not clear. There were tears in his eyes. "Aap ro rahe the kya Pati Babu?" Bondita came with a tray full of snacks and some tea and sat opposite to him while keeping the tray on the table after making some space on it. "Nahi, main Kahan ro raha tha?" Aniruddh quicky checked for his eyes and indeed they were wet. Bondita gave him a nod and served him tea. "Aap case ki tension mat lijiye, aap hi jeetenge." Bondita said. "Par kaise? Na koi saboot, na gawah, kaise jeetunga main case Bondita?" He said, frustrated at his situation. "Aap sach ka saath de rahe hain aur sach kabhi nahi haarta, ye aap hi nein kaha tha na mujhe, jab main London jaa rahi thi Barristery ki padhai karne, aur aap hi bhool gaye?" Bondita said. "Par koi saath nahi Bondita. Koi bhi nahi. Baba, Kaka, Som aur poore gaanv wale, sab samjhte hain ki main galat ka saath de raha." Aniruddh was sad. His eyes brimmed with fresh tears. "Main hoon aapke saath Pati Babu. Main hoon." Bondita said while she kept her hand on his. He looked at her in awe. Her eyes shone with hope. He felt immense faith in himself. He knew even if the whole world would be against him, his wife, his Bondita would stand by him, rock solid, staring right into the eyes of the world. In that very moment, he knew he won.
