Thank you for coming here and informing us based on what you know.
Can I ask you can depression ever lead to hallucinations or hearing voices? I have never heard or read it. But is it possible ? Or would it be another illness at that point.
whatever the trainer is claiming about counseling is false.

There goes a lot of work behind finally arriving at a diagnosis.
We have enough evidence to say depression is biological and medicines take care of 80% of the problem. Therapy/counseling will definitely add value but main treatment always remains medication. If the depression is due to some event happening, ecen then medication helps though in such cases therapy plays major role but still only as an add on to medication. On an average, if medication is used properly , one can be fine upto 90% in 6 months. Though evidence says 1/3 patients may not respond to sinhle medicine qnd may need a medication change, 1/3 maintain on single Medication and get a 100% cure and 1/3 may not respond even after taking medicines lifelong. But still medication is main

But what if the depression is minor? Aren’t there other things that can naturally release more endorphins in the brain line running or yoga ?

Yes when trainer said you can cure without medication I did not agreed with him either. If you really have depression you most probably need medication. And counseling helps because your counselor ask you questions and find the root of the problem of your depression. Like what is bothering you, any event or a new problem. And counseling goes for weeks or even months till a patient feeling better. But thank you for providing great explanation how it works.

I know a couple people who were on strong life long anti depressants. Young people too. Still had their episodes from time to time and just felt hazy.
CBD Oil & Ashwagandha did wonders for them. Again I'm not a doctor, just sharing an experience but I would certainly try something natural first. There's also over the counter stuff like GABA that people take. Diet also plays a huge role.
Opened the thread there might be some revelation, turns out it is as usual speculations.
Why has this turned into left vs right though
Like ndtv,Rajdeep etc are inviting anurag,Akhtars and talking how bw is fair industry, whereas times now and republic gone the other way 🤔
