Exactly Lalz he feel defeated not because of challenge, but because of he can't take care of his wife, whom he took the responsibility with so much confidence. As i said Ani knws very well what relation he is sharing with Bondita and he knws marriage means reasponsibility and here Bondita is very young, so he has more reasponsibility towards her. That's y he would feel defeated.
