You're right. It would be a massive shock for anyone. But I think since the film is from Tabu's POV, it's supposed to be a redemption for her in the story? After people treating like some kind of fallen woman, unworthy of respect by her whole family, atleast there's someone who understands her? great (though unrealistic maybe?) ending of female solidarity. Ya.. the ending was perfect as far as Tabu was concerned.. I did not like the ending of the son
I would have preferred if Nimrata instead of telling him how he needs to be broad minded had told him about his double standards and how he needs to view both his parents in the same light.. That is something I would have been on board with
