Aamir took a stand against this years ago- as the article also states. Actually in a weird way so did Selmon Bhai who hilariously left his "supporting award" for Kuch Kuch Hota Hai backstage and has openly called them sh*t. Even while accepting the award he was cracking up, probably knowing that KJO bought it for him

So if kjo+srk film doesn't get award whole Bollywood is ready to boycott, that's why srk ego has always been massaged by giving all kind of power award ,face award etc etc.

And all for being progressive akhtar clan has always come as arrogant and crybabies.

That's how gully boy got all awards by threatening to boycott

He does mention amir in his article. Aamir told him no matter what you do you won't be able to host a clean award show

Why is this not surprising? Bollywood will never get any respect till it stops arm twisting and buying awards..petulent kids.. I wish someone makes a new award where no performances are req and only nominees or award winners come to collect them..I think Anupama and Rajeev srarted one..where few deserving ones were given awards..

I'm most surprised about all the stories of akhtars coming out. I thought these were hard working, creative decent people... But apparently they are shady as the rest of them.. Bas just know how to make the right noises

The article makes it a point to mention that Shekhar didnt receive any requests or tantrums from SRK but people "around the film" and that SRK was contracted to perform, which he did without any threats of pulling out. All the pouting and crying was from KJO.

Akhtar clan toh yes I m not surprised, Javed is a good poet/lyricist but really the last person to be calling himself a communist as he does or a person fighting for equality.

He also mentions Katrina, crying about not receiving awards. That is so strange!! Didnt expect her to cry to Shekhar!

wow....i didnt know so much happens in awards shows.....knew about the best actor being bought due to SRK mostly.......last year got to know about best actress cause of Aloo....

anyways, Didnt know Hrithik would also be like that......... ZNMD one I know when Abhay Deol said he wasnt even nominated only Katrina and Hrithik was.....now i know why they would do that......not cause they want but cause the so-called stars are not magnanimous but cheap for awards.....

About Amol Palekar, I wouldnt expect anything less then him......he is thousand times best compared to the current lot of actors or the ones before them....

Srk doesn't need to do on his own , he have people around to do it, that's how big money rolls.

That though he says we never tampered with awards (doubtable) but still awards kisko mil rahe hain yeh sab ko pehle se pata chal jata tha and then the tantrums start..... So they did release the list beforehand

I am assuming they have to release it, before requesting stars to perform at the event...........

I'm sure Shekhar knows this inside and out, about how "coded messages" are sent like in the case of Farhan or Eros head. But he still clarified that SRK was professional. I think he is too shaana to ruin it with Shekhar Gupta- a big name in media and MNIK was a Dharma baby afterall.
