1. She either believes or pretends no one else did female-centric movies which were successful. That is absolutely not true. Apart from the older movies and Sridevi-starrers mentioned, there were movies from Kangana's own time - The Dirty Picture, Kahaani, English Vinglish, No One Killed Jessica, Mardaani...

For Kangana to dismiss the work done by senior actresses is either a version of "not like other girls" which is as sexist as you could possibly get or KKK-level dumbness when she proclaimed she was the first pregnant actress to work.

2. Kangana denigrates anyone who doesn't agree with her.

3. She spews venom at a guy for rejecting her. Seriously? Get some self-respect!

4. I can never, ever condone her snatching credit for someone else's work as she did.

5. An important debate on what happened to SSR and the role of bullying and harassment has now been turned into a freak circus centered on Kangana. I'm even left wondering if the mean girl gang of Bollywood PAID her to distract the public.😆

@italics, my thoughts exactly. I respect her for all the ordeal she went through and for coming up strong, but just hating on (sections of) people, making everything about herself is just too much to root for

Dirty picture is a biopic with lots of sleaze thrown in .... yeah it was a phenomenal performance by Vidya but it wouldn't have generated the sensation that it did without Vidya throwing all her inhibitions out the window. It was not a trendsetter by any means, neither was it pathbreaking. Silk Smitha already existed, Vidya showcased her life in a nutshell there.

English Vinglish cashed in on a yester year superstar's stardom, and yes, that was a brilliant movie that deserves its own place, but it wasn't exactly a young actress breaking barriers there either.

Saat Khoon Maaf was loosely based on seven deadly sins, with PC again trying to be multifaceted. I'm personally not a fan of that movie, and I don't think it does anything to provoke thoughts or for people to look into their societal issues. It was more of a psychological thriller.

You clearly aren't getting the point here, are you? Queen is a commercial and critical success that came along as a breath of fresh air, and it was revolutionary when Katrina, Alia, Deepika etc were being wrapped with big banners and shot to stardom with songs, dances and robust ensemble to support them.

I’m not denying queen did well but it’s no pioneer ...and what’s with undermining the rest of their efforts lol

Now the criteria becomes “young” actor breaking boundaries With a light hearted film?
What next, a young actor with a light hearted film starting with the letter q? 😂

Also Wasn’t she 27 at that time..kaheka young in her own words...😂

All the women I mentioned had the odds stacked against them...Sridevis contemporaries didn’t have the success she did with English vinglish ...much more difficult for a middle aged actor to make it

Also vidya ...was never to a petite lil pretty thing and tore the envelope with dirty picture by gaining weight and even daring to look unattractive

Priyanka played shades of grey while being the protagonist...case in point fashion aswell

All of these are risks whether u like it or not and all of them are pioneers Of female centric successful films prior to queen even being released

So no, kangana can not claim that throne of breaking barriers ...sorry 👆
