BaPre Marriage

So... Bajaj and Prerna aren't married. Bajaj decided for Prerna that Prerna would take his surname and this was done additionally keeping Kuki in mind. But they aren't married...

This brings up something that I've been thinking for quite some time. Why does Bajaj decide what Prerna can or cannot do? Why can't Prerna take those decisions for herself, whether that is confronting Anurag or returning to Kolkata? I really am irked by the fact that this is the new age "modern" woman that they are portraying as Prerna. In reality, I believe her decision making power has been transferred to Bajaj, while she is doing as per his wishes and conveniences.

Taking my own example, when taking my own decisions, I definitely consult my loved ones, but I am still taking the final call. However, Prerna's autonomy has been shifted to another person, specifically a man who thinks he has power over her to "allow" her to make her own decisions. If Prerna were to truly be independent, no one would "allow" her to make her own decisions, because that in itself is a form of control over another person.

She is very much in her character. Whoever thought this is some 'new age modern' Prerna, must be kidding oneself. 🤣The girl left her education midway to get married, fell in love with the Basu abuses in the name of love, handed over the authority of her body and soul to her lover, went to accept Pregnancy to lure someone else's husband just cuz she cant move on, allowed Anurag to take all her decisions, including the welfare of herself so much so that got pushed off from the bridge soon after delivering HIS kid. The only thing that changed is now the power of attorney of her decisions is another man. The character of Prerna is still very much the same.

Prerna has said to be independent after being with Bajaj. That's where the "new age modern Prerna" came from. I'm stating that she is not a modern woman after being with Bajaj.

Also, Prerna never asked permission from Anurag to do things like she does with Bajaj. Regardless of the situation, she has made her decisions. It was always HER decision to keep Anurag at the highest priority in her life, no one "allowed" her to make that choice. I'm not saying whether her choice was right or wrong, but I am saying that she had autonomy both as Prerna Sharma, as well as Prerna Sharma Basu.

Now, Prerna keeps having to justify each and every one of her decisions, which I don't find appealing. Bajaj says he trusts her but doesn't take long to doubt her. Bajaj takes decisions for her, on her behalf without really considering what she wants, what her priorities are. A prime example of that was when he did not allow her to confront Anurag after the bridge episode. A decision was taken on her behalf and she was forced to not talk to Anurag. Prerna literally had to beg to come back to Kolkata because Bajaj did not want her to go. She went after getting his permission, but it didn't take him long to come running after her because he was affected by Komolika's words. Basically what I'm saying is I don't find trust between BaPre.

Also, the marriage between Anurag and Sonalika was not legal: Anurag was not conscious during the marriage, Anurag had lost his memory, and Anurag had married Prerna privately before his accident. For a marriage to be legal, both parties have to be conscious and be fully there mentally. A marriage while someone is unconscious and has lost their memory isn't valid. Therefore, Prerna was married to Anurag throughout the memory loss track.

Was it her decision to be pushed down a bridge or lose her family or lose years of her infant's life?

Modern woman won't dream about being in the arms of a person she believes tried to kill her or was responsible for her daughter's death

Prerna is using Bajaj's money and name to fulfill her agenda and revenge against Anurag, Bajaj forced her for Kuki? Lol, The woman was trying to commit suicide after she got news of her child's death, Sure Bajaj made a decision for her

Where did Anurag think Prerna has gone after he pushed her from the bridge? What did he think Prerna and his child will do after being separate from her family? Did he leave money and home for Prerna and his child?

Mr Bajaj gave shelter and food to Prerna, Saved her life, stopped her from committing suicide, She is doing business in his name, under his Goodwill

Everyone is answerable to their Boss, The one who is owner of parent company, Prerna asking or telling him about HIS money being spent is the LEAST one can expect after she asked her secretary to call Bajaj before spending crores to buy some land from Anurag One had to ASK before using someone's money, doing otherwise makes you a thief not a modern woman

Actually Bajaj is soo wrong, how can he even decide for Prerna .. he shd have followed THE Awwnu way, of "discussions", who discussed and convinced Prerna, that he would be bumping her off the bridge and separating her from her 2 day old .
