It could be that Riddhima is a simple girl but she also has courage to talk back to him and slap a family member of his when it’s come to her self respect. I think he is getting impressed with her qualities and courage, she might be one of the first women who can talk back and say no to him.

He seemed to be impressed with her from episode 1 from their first interaction.
