Whoa, that is amazing. If I take an afternoon siesta for 2 hours because of heavy meal, I'm not able to go back to sleep at night until past 3 am. You are lucky.😊. knock on wood.

मी जरा एक वेगळा विषय मांडत आहे. जो लेख आज मी वाचलंय लोकरंग मधें त्यावर.

तो लेख हा कुख्यात गुंड विकास दुबे याच्या कथित encounter वर आहे. Advocate गणेश सोवनी यांनी लिहिला आहे.

त्यात लास्ट para मध्ये असे म्हटलंय की म्हातारी मेल्याचा दुःख नाही पण काळ सोकावेल त्याचा काय??

आपले सर न्यायाधिश शरद बोबडे यांनी स्वतःहून एक चौकशी समिती नेमली आहे. त्या वर 20 जुलै ला केंद्र सरकार कडून बाजू मांडली जाणार आहे.

मुद्दा असा आहे की गुंड मारला गेला, किंवा हैद्राबाद चे rape आरोपी जे encounter मध्ये मारले गेले ते झाले ते वाईट झाले किंवा त्या बद्दल कोणालाच हळहळ नाही असा नाहीये.उलट सर्वच स्तरातून पोलीस चे अभिनंदन केले गेले की या असल्या नाराधमन असाच मारा वगैरे वगैरे.

तर मुद्दा असा आहे की ही जी पद्धत पोलीस सध्या अवलंबत आहेत ती कितपत योग्य आहे. कारण शेवटी कायद्याची अंमलबजावणी ही देशाच्या सर्वोच्च न्यायालयाने घालून दिलेल्या मार्गदर्शक तत्वांच्या आधारेच व्हायला हवी.

लोकशाही जिकडे जिवंत आहेत तिकडे ठोकशाही ही कोणत्याही राज्याची/राष्ट्राची पोलिसी असूच शकत नाही.

उत्तम विवेचन आहे. मला तरी लेख आवडला आणि पटला देखील.

@bold, Heh manya ahe but take the case of UP itself. Earlier it was exactly opposite. The state was in chaos as these gangsters had a free run and every tom dick and harry ruled his own village (like Dubey). They were let free by courts at the drop of a hat and were even ruling their fiefdoms when in jail through proxy and the cases went on for ages. Since Yogi's entry the encounters may have increased but these gangsters are dealt with, with an iron hand. The local people are happy (villagers in Dubey's village celebrated his encounter death).

So, if the courts don't tighten up their act this free hand to the police to control the gangs (though illegal and not conducive to a democracy) will be appreciated by the people.

In the proposed court of enquiry, I hope, they also have a detailed look at why the people celebrated this encounter and court faults if any, should not be brushed under the carpet.
