He wasn’t OTT at all in Gully Boy or Lootera... even in LVRB the character was quite calm and suave. He can do quiet roles too.

Why do you feel the need to comment on Ranveer to justify Ranbir’s talent ? Ranveer is nothing na? Ranbir toh bahaut mahaan hai na! Why no one compares Ranbir to the big hot shots like Hrithik or Akshay ?

Cos this is a comparison thread so why not...most of the people in this thread are comparing RK with XYZ knowing quite well they are not even at Ranbir's toe level (ok that was hyperbole lol)..

Ranveer either goes OTT or goes into his shell there's no balance or a middle ground in his acting..be it Paddu or Gullyboy.

Hrithik is a great actor I love him..But I truly believe Ranbir is a better actor..Akshay is more an entertainer then actor..I like him too.

The only actor I feel is better /more talented then RK is Rajkumar Rao..I have no qualms in accepting that.

Ranbir needs to ace roles like Akbar, Krishh, Aryan or Kabir to be considered better than Hrithik.

RK does manchild role in most of his movies. I remember I mentioned this to my bf once (who actually likes RK as an actor btw) and he said “omg you are right, he does do man-child roles mostly. I can’t unsee it now” ... so yeah.

I am comparing RK and RS only because I can see RS do most of RK’s movies, barrring Sanju (because RK looks the part). However I cannot see RK do RS’s movies, such as BM, GB, Padmavat, and Simba.

P.S. I like RK as an actor but he isn’t the “best actor” of this generation. He is just hyped because of his last name and by KJO as is Alia who is a very average actress.
